Nog-isms

submitted by WNwoman to whatever 9 monthsSep 8, 2024 13:37:46 ago (+14/-0)     (whatever)

I was listening to a podcast today while taking a walk and a clip was played of a sheboon saying something like “he know where I stay” and it reminded me of my horrific time at public school with nog classmates. They all referred to where they lived as where they “stay”. I guess it originated from their homes always being temporary; likely moving from one apartment in the projects to the next every time their sheboon mother moved in with a new Tyrone.

That started me thinking of other specific phrases that only nogs use. Here are a few I came up with. Maybe if there are any certified niggerologists here they can add more.

- “put on child support”
- baby daddy or baby mama
-“what had happened was…”

The insane thing is that teachers and speech therapists are trained not to correct thousand atrocious grammar because it is considered a “language difference not disorder” and it’s African American dialect with its own rules.

The first time I ever heard it so badly mispronounced is when a black man was "fusstrated" with something.

Also, "scrawberry."

"that they" instead of "their" for ownership, like: "that they car". That one is the worst for me.

The funniest one that cracks me up every time I hear it is, "I beez workin boss". And everybody knows damn well that the jiggaboo hasn't hit a lick at anything.
