It hardly ever works over Torbrowser. Less then 5% of the time on my tunnel. I can understand a VPN, but it should work with Tor.

Catbox does not like my VPN. I don't want the deep state knowing my home address. Not that I think Catbox is compromised, but I don't want to take chances.

VPNs are not secure. They already have your home address, family names, jobs, psychological profiles, etc. They even have fairly decent algorithms to predict your next move, even you next poop.

Try a different exit node, if it's not your VPN blocking it, it's the ISP of the exit node blocking it. And try different DNS servers, it's how they're doing a lot of this shit.

It's a reasonable complaint.

1. It's frequently down or won't load for most people I ever shared a catbox link to

2. Now it's banned across a few different email services, as well as multiple phone carriers SMS.


3. I can only share catbox links through certain messenging services that I could also attach an MP4. If I want to share a catbox link I download it and share the file.

So when you say 'allows what's posted here' you literally mean CAN ONLY BE USED HERE. No one visits catbox to browse, and even if you share a link from here over email or SMS there's a very high chance it's getting caught in a spam filter or straight up banned across the service.

If you use a normie service your links will die, but your ideas will actually spread outside of this echo chamber.

We all need to do our part spreading our ideas. Anyone who tells you to limit your activity to banned and obscure services is suspect. Your links lasting months instead of days doesn't matter if only basement dwelling faggots add them to their extensive meme text files.

catbox provides a valuable service and mostly works fine for me.

It is a liability shield for system to run this place without directly hosting shit, which likely has a lot to do with why it runs as well as it does.

We all need to do our part spreading our ideas.

It really shows the network effect and people's inability to stop using something once it sucks. It's the only thing that keeps windows alive. It's just sad. As much as I hate windows there are more legitimate arguments for why to use windows than their is for catbox.

I guess part of the problem is that pomf is the only other thing people know and it blocks voat. Either by seeing something in the referer and dropping the connection or seeing that it was about to be embedded as an image or video and dropping the connection. They don't even send a 403. They drop the connection at the TCP level. That's why you have to open pomf in a new tab.

But img.gvid.tv exists. It's sort of like pic8 in that it is a multi-host/host-muxer. But it isn't associated with Poal like pic8 is.

I think catbox might have different edges that misbehave randomly. You are lucky if it has never not worked for you. But all the time it seems like a third of us can't see the link and and its about a third of the time it happens to be me who can't see the link.
