I shared a secret once.

A friend/colleaguee told me a secret about the criminal record of one of the older managers at work. I vowed not to tell anyone.

Some months later, I reveal to this same exact person: “I heard the manager has a criminal record but don’t tell anyone.”

Dude laughs: “Hey, I told you that. And it’s supposed to be a secret.”

I explain: “Well, you’re the only person I’ve told!”

We both had a good laugh. After that, I never shared anyone’s secrets ever again.
