What you are talking about is a gang. Do you think a society of gangs is really productive. Just bands of mostly idle people. The real solution is to organize your society so you don't need gangs. We don't need a race to the bottom with brown people. They'll win at that anyway.

Also a gun provides the same strong arm power of several friends. You can just carry that instead of calling up six of your friends because you want to go to the store.
