I'm struck by these movies in the '70s and how absolutely deserted America was. At same place is probably jam-packed for full of Burger Kings and McDonald's right now. It's like you watch the old CHiPs TV show intro and they show downtown Los Angeles and it's basically empty compared to what it is now. And you realize why people used to move to California because it used to be a fairly uninhabited beautiful wilderness and now it's a crowded concrete parking lot
