I got stung by a Yellow Jacket and it wicked hurts

submitted by HonkyMcNiggerSpic to TellUpgoat 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 20:08:53 ago (+27/-1)     (TellUpgoat)

I know what ya think. Its a bee sting pussy. Suck it up. I've been stung by many bees before and while it hurts it was nothing compared to this bastard. I was working on my riding mower and he nailed me on the side of my ring finger near the joint. That shit immediately burned hotter than the Sun! I dropped my wrench and grabbed my hand and screamed some obscenities. I immediately pulled my ring off. Then about one minute later I had a hard aching pain in all four of my knuckle joints. About ten minutes later I feel it in my elbow. The burning pain was intense and lasted for an hour and it calmed down a little but is still burning now three hours later, just not as bad. At first that shit was a 9 on a 10 scale. Now its probably at a 4. My finger swelled up maybe 40% bigger. Its tight like its gonna explode and I can't bend my finger. I iced it for about ten minutes but it didn't help much. IDK if they carry a little more poison this time of year or if that one was the Mike Tyson of Yellow Jackets.

About two weeks ago I got lit up walking into my building. They built a nest in there and I got stung 7 times. It hurt like a mofo but not like this. My wife made some white vinegar and baking soda or some shit and rubbed on it. I can't imagine if ten or more like that got me at the same time. holy shit. Oh, last week, I was walking by my fire pit and I saw a red sand hornet buzzing about at ground level so I walked towards the other side away from him and that aggressive prick came at me hard and nailed me in my right leg. It felt like I got shot. But the pain didn't last too long or anything. Not like this Yellow bastard. This MF got into somebody's meth or something. Just thought I would share

EDIT! DOC SAYS IT HIT A NERVE AND THAT'S WHY IT WAS SO BAD. I'M NOT ALLERGIC, EITHER. LITTLE BASTARDS ARE GONNA PAY DEARLY VERY SOON tm

It hurts because your tissues are slowly being liquified from the inside out.

Sleeping accelerates this process.

The sting also released pheromones that all yellow jackets can track.

They are outside, right now, waiting in the dark for you to go to sleep so they can feast on you.

But I have redneck flame thrower, don't they know?

[ - ] BulletStopper 1 point 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 17:35:51 ago (+1/-0)

Don't tell me. Tell them.

[ - ] Crackinjokes 1 point 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 05:43:42 ago (+1/-0)

"The sting also released pheromones that all yellow jackets can track."

Is this true? It would make sense from an evolutionary standpoint that they would tag a possible threat for future identification.

[ - ] BulletStopper 1 point 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 13:38:36 ago (+1/-0)

Yes.

[ - ] RobertJHarsh 5 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 21:53:09 ago (+5/-0)

Bastards HURT LIKE FUCK don't they? You're aren't the first to say it feels like being shot. I waged a war against a nest of those bastards a few years ago. They scored two direct stings on my back. After I popped benadryl and the wife making sure the stingers weren't left behind I went back for payback, 'muh 6,000,000 style. Two survivors left to tell the tale.

[ - ] Fascinus 5 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 20:22:52 ago (+5/-0)

Sounds like a Bald-faced hornet

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic [op] 4 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 21:23:12 ago (+4/-0)

You know, Its quite possible. Afterwards I saw several buzzing at ground level and they looked smaller than a yellow jacket, almost bullet-shaped. I was in so much pain at the time I don't think I was a reliable witness. That would explain the pain. I'm gonna look tomorrow and see if they are the black and white ones because I've been seeing them a lot this year. I've seen more bees this year than the last ten years put together. All varieties.

[ - ] Peleg 4 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 22:51:47 ago (+4/-0)

"I'm gonna look tomorrow and see if they are the black and white ones because I've been seeing them a lot this year."

So tomorrow night we can expect another report about you getting stung by these wasps. Okay.

[ - ] PostWallHelena 0 points 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 12:51:10 ago (+0/-0)

Bald faced hornet is a yellow jacket species btw. I got zapped pretty good a couple weeks ago, but nothing like you described. It only bothered me a couple of minutes. Maybe the place where you were stung is more sensitive? They got me on the leg which doesn’t have so many nerves.

Also I think they stung me a couple other times but they weren’t as bad. Could be that some stings are deeper than others or some individuals carry more venom than others.

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic [op] 1 point 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 16:57:05 ago (+1/-0)

I just got back from the doc. She said it hit a nerve that is right where it stung me. I'm better today but still sore. Most of the swelling is gone other than a little bit. Its starting to itch. I am not allergic, thank goodness.

[ - ] PostWallHelena 1 point 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 17:53:52 ago (+1/-0)

There you go, it hit a nerve. That theory works for me. Glad its feeling better. I think Im just going to give the nest a wide berth till fall. I think Id be more likely to get stung trying to get rid of it.

[ - ] bobdole9 2 points 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 16:08:58 ago (+2/-0)

Thank you for the reminder to get more wasp and hornet spray.

They all can go fuck right off.

[ - ] TheBigGuyFromQueens 3 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 22:47:02 ago (+3/-0)

I got stung in the neck by something when I was 11 and riding my bike and I thought I was going to fucking die. Stings are no joke. I’s rather take my chances squaring off against 3 niggers than being near a hornet’s nest. THAT makes me cross the street. For the past two years, Eastern Yellowjackets have taken residence on the side of the building I live in and I won’t walk by there.

Here is something frightening: Hornets can remember human faces for up to 30 days. You piss one off and he’ll hunt you down like a detective.

[ - ] uvulectomy 3 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 22:12:05 ago (+3/-0)*

Was on the mower a couple summers back and found a nest. Those little fuckers got me good. Ten fucking hits, and a couple still have marks. Didn't think much of the first couple, figured I'd just got caught up in some kind of bramble or noxious weeds. But the more I tried to brush things off, the more I kept getting new pain points. That's when I realized the true scale of my failure to pay attention.

The initial stings sucked, but weren't unbearable. It was the next couple of days that were awful, feeling like I got repeatedly kicked in the shins. After that, oh DEAR GOD the itching... The band-aids were less about the marks, and more about keeping me from clawing my skin off in my sleep.

I came back with flammable liquid, flooded the hole, and burned every last one of those fuckers. Truly the niggers of the insect world.

[ - ] shadowwolf225 3 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 21:59:56 ago (+3/-0)

I'll have to agree with others about a developing allergy check with a Dr. if you can find one you still trust.

Also take Benadryl (generic is diphenhydramine which is cheaper and the same thing) to help with the allergic effects and ibuprofen to help with the pain and inflammation.

I wish the best for you an would recommend getting your hands on an Epipen.

[ - ] prominent_proboscis 2 points 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 07:33:45 ago (+2/-0)

never had an issue with stings until the last couple years. yellow jackets are pretty bad for me. i get a full body rash and get super sleepy if they get me.

This bee sting hurt faaaar worse than your little "muh broken tibula fibula plus ribs on the side" problem, old man!!

It could be worse. You could be this guy.

STUNG by 200 ANGRY YellowJackets! - https://youtu.be/c8zdvZt1pRM?t=293

Watch the video at the end. The Youtuber shows how to treat the stings.

Good luck, and suck it up.

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic [op] 2 points 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 17:27:02 ago (+2/-0)

hahaha Damn! If Coyote was screaming like that then I don't feel so bad about screaming like a little bitch. I was writhing in pain just like him. Thanks for the vid. I haven't seen that one. I've never seen him bug out like that and have pain for that long. If it wiped him out that bad then its serious. I've been nailed by many yellow jackets but did okay with it. That's why I think this time it may've been a diff variety, like bald-faced hornet or the southern yellow jacket.

[ - ] 86USSLiberty 2 points 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 00:25:46 ago (+2/-0)

They sting really bad as far as bees/hornets etc go. A hornet got me and there was no sting but it was like getting hole punched. The worst motherfucking one of all time for me are these little fuzzy caterpillar asp things that fall out of trees in central Texas.

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic [op] 1 point 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 16:59:14 ago (+1/-0)

I got stung by an asp once. I also got nailed by a Saddleback Caterpillar and damn it hurt.

I don't know if I'm allergic to bites or bugs, I hope I never find out the hard way.

[ - ] Cantaloupe 2 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 22:54:16 ago (+2/-0)

It might have been a bold faced hornet, they have a very painful sting.

Find the nest capture it and slowly torture them.

[ - ] zongongo 1 point 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 12:25:52 ago (+1/-0)

I became allergic to wasp/ yellow jacket / hornet family in my late 20's after being stung plenty of times.
40 plus years have passed and a sting has required a hospital twice in that time.
I'm not afraid of them at all but I keep my eye on them.

[ - ] PotatoWhisperer2 2 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 21:43:43 ago (+2/-0)

Yeah, I got hit last year by a wasp right on the finger knuckle. Hurt like a bitch for about 5 min then went into a sorta-stingy pain for a day.

Nothing like what you have described. Might want to talk to the doc about developed allergies. Talk about what you can keep on hand in case something happens.

[ - ] GuyWhite 2 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 21:17:01 ago (+2/-0)

Sounds like you got sensitized by your earlier stings. You maybe developing/have developed an allergy. I’d visit a doctor about this. The next time could be fatal.

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic [op] 4 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 21:28:24 ago (+4/-0)

Its good advice. I have an annual appt coming up and will mention it. Years ago a guy I knew got stung while he was riding his ATV and he went into anaphylactic shock and almost died. He had never been allergic his whole life and ten all of a sudden he is. He was 41 when it happened.

[ - ] Sector2 2 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 21:13:51 ago (+2/-0)

Got the third or so mosquito bite of the year the other day, but haven't been stung by anything in 30 or 40 years. Not missing it.

If really a yellowjacket, have you eaten or taken anything that made you extra sensitive to the toxin?

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic [op] 3 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 21:16:58 ago (+3/-0)

No. I'm fairly healthy. I was talking to somebody else who got stung last week and they said it was far worse than they remember. I haven't talked to my uncle or my close friend who are bee keepers yet and get their opinion on it. They would know.

[ - ] Sector2 5 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 21:41:14 ago (+5/-0)

Yellow jacket stings are rated 2 on the Schmidt Sting Pain Index, which is similar to the pain of a bald-faced hornet sting. Some describe the pain as hot and smoky, like having a cigar extinguished on your tongue. Others say it's similar to getting your hand caught in a revolving door. The pain can last up to 10 minutes, but many people also experience a burning sensation at the sting site for one to two hours.

Maybe the toxin is more potent at different times of the year? Or they inject longer? Good you got the ring off fast enough.

[ - ] PostWallHelena 2 points 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 01:57:55 ago (+2/-0)

I live near a swamp. Lots of skeeters. I occassionally put bug spray on just to sit around the house. They just find their way in. Im on my 300th mosquito bite of the year. Well certainly the 30th anyway.

[ - ] Sector2 1 point 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 04:43:45 ago (+1/-0)

One of those bug zappers with a mosquito light might help. They make indoor and outdoor versions. Recently scored one of those tennis racquet type zappers that has an auto mode with a LED for mosquitoes in your house at night. I don't have those to test it on, but it works great for flies. Catch them on the grid and they die in a flash and a pop.

It's the worst when you have airborne bloodsucking parasites in your house.

[ - ] Crackinjokes 2 points 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 05:48:38 ago (+2/-0)

"that has an auto mode with a LED for mosquitoes in your house at night"

Where did you find this miracle version!?

That's not the harbor freight version.

[ - ] PostWallHelena 1 point 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 12:06:49 ago (+1/-0)

Maybe I should get one. But then what would the spiders eat?

It's the worst when you have airborne bloodsucking parasites in your house.

The lady that played Delenn on Babylon 5 died of West Nile Virus a couple years ago ( yes I like that jew show). She was only like 60. Ever since then Im mildly neurotic about them (mosquitos, not jews. Well them too but thats nothing to do with the discussion.) Someone else posted yesterday that theres an outbreak of Eastern Equine Encephalitis in Massachusetts and guess what kills that? Ivermectin!

Anyway it occurs to me that taking ivermectin once or twice a week might largely eliminate the mosquito problem because they probably die pretty quickly after they bite you. But maybe a light is more practical.

[ - ] Sector2 1 point 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 12:27:10 ago (+1/-0)

Disposing of them pre-bite would be ideal. Even if they're not carrying some kind of disease, they carry 'un-ease' when they're circling around and buzzing past your ears.

The fact that they can carry deadly diseases just helps in wanting to avoid mosquito bites as much as possible. Luckily, I can keep unscreened windows open at night and not have mosquitoes.🤞

[ - ] PostWallHelena 0 points 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 12:45:29 ago (+0/-0)

And also I worry about the dog getting heartworm. I still dont like the idea of killing off other bug species. Im a catch and release fag.

Luckily, I can keep unscreened windows open at night and not have mosquitoes.🤞
Yeah I cant do that. No way.

Actually Ive been having a bit of a fruit fly problem for a couple weeks. Im getting pretty sick of them actually. Ive been trying the “neat and clean” strategy because I hate to resort to active murder. But they have overstayed their welcome at this point. Every time I go to the kitchen sink, like five of them are waiting for me, “Hey Helena, whats for dinner?”

Did I tell you the hornets nest fell? Well the weight of the nest caused the branch it hangs from to sag and the whole nest must have come crashing down and hit the ground. I wasn’t around thank goodness. The main part of the hive is still hanging on to the branch at a much lower altitude. Its been a couple of days since the calamity but theyve already repaired the nest greatly because theyre not run by jews. You can see broken pieces of the hive littered about. https://files.catbox.moe/fzzuws.jpeg

[ - ] Sector2 1 point 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 13:01:12 ago (+1/-0)

I get fruit flies because of my veggie scrap/tea/coffee grounds/egg shell container for the worms. Probably should start taking it out daily.

Those are black and white hornets? Yeah, they would have already overstayed their welcome for me. Now they're in a great position near the ground for throwing a brick or rock at their nest to force them to relocate. Stand way back, throw, then hide in the house until they calm down again. From the scattering, looks like some critter might have done it.

[ - ] PostWallHelena 0 points 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 13:12:07 ago (+0/-0)

Ive pretty solidly ID’ed them as Bald-faced Hornets which is a type of Yellow Jacket and not a true hornet. Ive gotten close enough to get a good look at them. Maybe it was a squirrel that knocked it down. The branch the nest is on had already sagged considerably ( a couple feet from its normal position) It seemed stable for a while. Now the hive is about 2 inches off the ground.

I think they will die off/hibernate after the first frost and I can cut it off then and toss it in the woods. I think they usually dont reuse the same nest two years in a row but better safe than sorry.

[ - ] ProudRebel 2 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 20:52:04 ago (+2/-0)

Those lil niggers lit me up this summer. I was clearing some brush and suddenly they're everywhere. Fuck em! I thought they lived in the ground?

[ - ] RobertJHarsh 2 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 21:54:52 ago (+2/-0)

They lived in a bushes I was in the middle of removing. Near the bottom...part underground and part lower floors.

[ - ] Sunman_Omega 2 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 20:42:37 ago (+2/-0)

You pussy! Nah, I'm just kidding. I hate anything that possesses a stinger as those creatures are always naturally aggressive and untrustworthy. I go out of my way to avoid bees, wasps and hornets, as I've been stung multiple times and it sucks every time.

[ - ] observation1 1 point 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 04:02:17 ago (+1/-0)

They're all over the place this year.

[ - ] PostWallHelena 1 point 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 01:52:02 ago (+1/-0)

I have a hive in my shrub with what I think are bald faced hornets. This is technically a yellow jacket species. Theyve gotten me a couple times, one bad one, which hurt like hell for about a minute. I screamed and cursed pretty loud. It felt like a hot needle. But it didn’t hurt for very long and the swelling went away in an hour.

Yours sounds way worse. Maybe certain species have more painful bites. Did you take an antihistamine?

[ - ] HonkyMcNiggerSpic [op] 1 point 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 17:13:46 ago (+1/-0)

No, I didn't take anything. My wife made some stuff that I rubbed on it and it helps a little. I've used it before. I found the nest. They either die today or tomorrow. If I were you, I'd get a can of that bee spray that shoots twenty feet and have an escape route. Or call somebody to come and deal with them if you have money. I'm gonna dump a couple gallons of gas in the hole and light it BOOOOoom! My finger is now itchy but I'm gud.

[ - ] boekanier 1 point 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 01:09:20 ago (+1/-0)

must have been a bee of the family apis israelicus, the worst of them all. But rest assured, you'll survive

[ - ] KeepPoal4fags 1 point 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 22:28:13 ago (+1/-0)

I've heard it said they are one of the most painful stings you can get from any insect.
I got hit by them HEAPS growing up. Maybe thats why I don't really feel minor pains anymore.

[ - ] texasblood 1 point 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 21:04:57 ago (+1/-0)

To my knowledge I have never been stung by wasps or bees.
Freaks me out tho b/c I have people with severe allergy (anaphylaxis) on both side of my family. Too cheap to pay for an allergy test so guess I'll find out the hard way.

[ - ] GreenSaint 0 points 9 monthsAug 26, 2024 03:11:54 ago (+0/-0)

I heard sending dick pics out while you’re in pain is a good way to mitigate it. So I’ll volunteer you can go ahead and send them my way I don’t mind. We’re just friends like that.

I may have to. I think I found their ground nest. I thought how funny it would be to suck them all up with my shop vac then throw it out in a niggerhood somewhere but they'd just sell my shop vac and go into the positive.

[ - ] Rowdybme 0 points 9 monthsAug 25, 2024 23:13:14 ago (+0/-0)
