I haven't looked into it, but none of the news I hear about it is clear about what exactly went wrong. They seem to be trying to minimize the failure but their actions imply it is much worse than they are letting on.

Does anyone here have a good understanding of what boeing fucked up? Is this a massive design flaw in the starliner? Are they going to be getting billions more from taxpayers to redesign it?

This filed Boeing Starliner mission appears to be scripted, like the failed Apollo 13 moon mission. Nobody is stranded and in need of rescue. It's just NASA and Hollywood.
