Last time we were in Colorado Springs there were sirens, announcements over loudspeakers, helicopter flights and straight-up police chases occurring regularly throughout the night... every night.

I miss my home state but I won’t ever go back to it, because it has exploded in population and has been on the fast track to compete with the Left Coast to see who can get to rock bottom first. If I knew I could be left alone I’d live in the mountains somewhere that no one else could get to easily.
