You deduction is solely based on religious prejudice. David did not lie when he sent Uriah to his death, as confirmed by Nathan's parable about the sheep and David being endorsed as a witness:
Behold, I have given him [for] a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people. Isaiah 55:4
