At various times, and in various organizations over the course of the last 30 years, I have used the Glock 17, 21, and 22. I also shot them extensively in competition, and as a firearms instructor.

While it is not my personal favorite (though I own several), I have never had one fail.

They are simple, reliable, durable, easily maintainable, and have very good out-of-the-box functionality and accuracy.

It is telling, I think, that at least two large organizations that have the means and the budget to field any handgun they wanted to, have both chosen the Glock. One issues the Glock 17 and the other issues the Glock 22.

I think the frame of the Glock 21 is a tad too large for most people. I have large hands so I never had a problem with it, but some do.

The frame size of both the 17 and the 22 is the same. Recoil from the .40 S&W can be a bit snappier too.

If I was arming a large organization and had to choose a pistol for it, it would probably be the Glock 17.

Just remember that a pistol is what you carry when your NOT expecting any trouble. It's primary advantage is that it has more reach than a sharp stick.
No professional I know goes to a gunfight with just a pistol on purpose.
It's like a reserve parachute. An emergency piece of a equipment that you hope you'll never have to use to save your life.
If you ARE expecting things to go rodeo, you tool up accordingly.
If you find yourself in a gunfight with only a pistol, then a number of things have already gone terribly wrong.
Fight your way to a long gun, or break contact.

No idea. I had a .45 Colt Commander I liked a lot.

43X with the right mags are good, too.

You have it accidentally discharge it’s holster yet? I have CZ, but it’s made by Germany. Fun little gun.

Glock 17 gen 5 is the best hands down.
