She's pretty and does a good pep talk, but I want to hear an argument for not giving up on my species. In the big picture, why is the perception that humans are nothing more than a mammal species with an inability to self-regulate, and a proclivity for self-destruction, wrong?

The species isn't monolithic. History has shown that the European sub-species has a capacity for greatness and decency under conducive societal conditions; as sick as our civilization is now, that capacity still remains. A dramatic change in how we are ruled and an end to the Anti-White narrative would allow that potential to be expressed more uniformly once again.
On a more basic level, it's unreasonable and unrealistic to think that something has to be ideal to be worthwhile. We're here, we have potential, so why not try? The notion that we need some kind of intellectual justification for our existence is pretty silly if you think about it.

we are ruled
Agreed, and another way to characterize it is 'we are farmed', or 'ranched'. Obviously most people are fine with that. And yes, our owners/rulers could change our programming to elicit our potential for "greatness and decency", but the point is that it's not our choice. They've chosen current reality for our species, and our species goes along with it.
Thanks for trying, but I suppose I'll just have to remain a malcontent with an opinion that's irrelevant to most of the herd.

Well, I don't actually believe in 'free will' at all, for anyone—but that's another conversation. My answer to you is: Many outcomes of future complex systems are fundamentally unknowable to us, and the best chance to do well in that future is to prepare ourselves on the assumption that we will eventually have opportunities to do so. Empires do fall.
Yes, people are 'programmed'... No way around that. Knowing that, it's our duty to disrupt & modify that programming to the extent we can, to foster a resilient and intrepid White hold-out population which will survive this selection event. You can still moonlight as a malcontent.
