Oh I remember. I don't skateboard anymore but I'm still active in a lot of the community. The guys would then come in with shovels and get rid of the sand. They fill it, skaters empty it out.

At one point they had all the kids' playgrounds down here taped off to stop the spread.

One day I was in such a bitchy rage that I stopped at my local playground and ripped off the tape. The local chinks were staring at me in horror - none of them challenged me though.

There were signs posted at every access to the beach (warning of 'no large groups' and 'no big radios', very specific). A guy drove buy riding in the back of his friend's truck and jumped out, ripped the sign down, took it with him and moved on to the next beach access.
I wish I had one of those signs for a souvenier.

They targeted that activity because it is a white activity. They didn't have any problem with black people breaking quarantine.
