Archive: https://archive.is/BdgOI They should be harvesting electricity from elevators that are descending on any building over 5 floors, storing in large batteries, and using it to help power the elevators next ascent already imo, seems ike a missed opportunity. Not for any Going Green b.s. but because the less pulled from the grid the more supply and cheaper it should be for everyone else. Maybe the cost of retrofitting a system to do so would be more than any savings accrued.
