On Tuesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said that up to 300 Ukrainian fighters, supported by 11 tanks and more than 20 armored vehicles, attacked Russian state border protection units in the region. As of Wednesday, up to 260 Ukrainian troops and 50 armored vehicles have been destroyed, the ministry said.

They killed 5, 260 got killed, along with 50 armored vehicles.

Is this that same "winning" that Ukraine has been credited with from the beginning?

No. One side said that they've killed 5 people. Great! I can believe that. What does that same side say have been the losses? Nothing. They make no mention of it. Are those 1000 soldiers still in Kursk? Have they not encountered any resistance from the Russians? Have they denied the Russian claims that 260 are dead and 50 vehicles destroyed?

What's in the suspense? It doesn't seem all that likely that 1000 enemy troops and a bunch of vehicles would roll into Russia, kill 5 people and have no response, right?
