Why dont we discuss our vision and how the horizon is optical, not geometrical?

Why do you guys default to attacking strawmen and propping up ridiculous notions?

Level = flat, horizontal.

Level is not a "zoomed in part of a sphere."

A sphere has 1 continously curved surface, no flat faces regardless of scale.

Lets debate these facts and find out which model correctly represents reality.

Why don't we discuss how big of a retard you really are?

Lets debate these facts and find out which model correctly represents reality.

Let's go. I'll pay it forward, as nobody else is giving you the time of day, and someone had to give teenage me the time of day so I didn't get misled by the same garbage. Maybe you will pay it forward in 10-15 years with the new generation of misled kids.

First things first:

1. You can download a model of the shape of our Earth, from satellite radar scans. It was considered to be mostly spherical up until about 50 years ago, but we now know it is quite lopsided, now termed 'oblate spheroid'. This also means the gravity of the Earth is unevenly distributed as well.

2. In a previous thread, I told you modern cameras are far more powerful than what you have been seeing in the garbo Youtube videos you have been watching. Have you tried the 'zoom in and see past the horizon' experiment yet? This is a super basic experiment that would easily prove or disprove one of your most basic tenets.

What facts are you presenting for discussion? After you, I'd like to bring up seismology, as this is probably the most convincing, and easy to test as an amateur scientist.

You can download a model of the shape of our Earth, from satellite radar scans.

So you change your entire worldview based on some photoshopped images? Not even that, your changing your worldview based on claims of images taken from "satellite radar"? Where are those images?

It was considered to be mostly spherical up until about 50 years ago, but we now know it is quite lopsided, now termed 'oblate spheroid'.

Globetards will update and change their model back and forth to suit the narrative. Supposed satellites are sent into orbit based of the math of a perfect sphere. Every fake image shown to us from NASA is a perfect sphere.

Now you want to claim its oblate because the earth is actually flat and you need to make some justifications in light of overwhelming evidence.

So you change your entire worldview [...]

My worldview doesn't matter, and neither does yours. We are discussing the merits of a flat and round Earth.

Where are those images?

Look up either NASA's GRACE Satellite, or ESA's GOCE Explorer, as suits your fancy. Both have accessible websites, but get quite technical if you aren't prepared. These scans were done with gravimetric imaging, but when I was growing up, radar was the preferred method for scanning Earth's shape.

Globetards will update and change their model back and forth to suit the narrative.

... what? The model hasn't significantly changed since its discovery.

Finer details have been determined, but it took more refined sensors and techniques to learn these details. It wasn't possible to know the shape beyond 'roughly' a sphere a millennia or even beyond a few decades ago, and mountains/valleys are a thing, so it was known it wasn't perfectly round from the get go.

What makes you think this is new?

Supposed satellites are sent into orbit based of the math of a perfect sphere.

No. The math simplifies quite nicely - the Earth can be treated as a point mass when doing the calculation, so the exact shape doesn't need to be known. Funny enough, the simplification that allows treating it as a point-mass only works because round shapes can be treated as points, and becomes less accurate the less round the object is.

Every fake image shown to us from NASA is a perfect sphere.

What leads to believe every image from NASA is fake?

Now you want to claim its oblate because [...]

I claim nothing - this is considered peer reviewed fact at this point. If you want to challenge this, I'd have to point you to the original researchers.

[...] because the earth is actually flat

What a reach.

and you need to make some justifications in light of overwhelming evidence.

I'd love to zero in on this evidence. I had already tried - elsewhere on this site you mentioned your belief that things don't fall below the horizon, and instead shrink, and can be seen with magnification. Magnification is easy to come by these days, and this is easy to test. What other bits do you (or others you believe in) claim as evidence for a flat Earth?

That's literally the first talmundic lie before they eventually converted to spherism.

Cube Earth was literally a joke, a meme. The map in your picture dates to 1893, many centuries after the shape of the Earth was discovered. I found the date of your map from here: https://www.grandforksherald.com/newsmd/rare-map-shows-how-small-the-world-really-is

[ - ] McNasty 1 point 8 monthsAug 6, 2024 00:26:44 ago (+1/-0)

You are calling it a joke but it was literally the first time somebody lied about the Earth not being flat.

Did you not see the picture?

Show him the your article.

[ - ] McNasty 1 point 8 monthsAug 6, 2024 00:31:08 ago (+1/-0)

Lol. Why would I care about your article? My claim is that jews have lied about history and the shape of the earth. You think showing me some jewish article is going to do anything?

I will only accept objective facts that can be personally verified.

[ - ] anon 2054120 1 point 8 monthsAug 6, 2024 00:32:28 ago (+1/-0)

fixed

[ - ] McNasty -1 points 8 monthsAug 6, 2024 00:34:43 ago (+0/-1)

You know I never click on your articles right? Lol. That would be like me trying to convince somebody the Holocaust didn't happen and them giving me articles. Why the fuck would I read them?

[ - ] anon 2054120 2 points 8 monthsAug 6, 2024 00:40:56 ago (+2/-0)

You won't read them because they are beyond your flat earth 9th grade comprehension level.

No. The Earth is objectively flat and stationary. I've been a flat earther for about 15 years.

This is an objective fact, you will never meet somebody that affirms the Holocaust that used to be a holocaust denier and you will never meet a globe Earther that used to be a flat earther.

[ - ] aleleopathic 0 points 8 monthsAug 6, 2024 00:43:16 ago (+0/-0)

You are calling it a joke

It is a joke, in the literal sense of the word, in that nobody considered it serious in its time period. I didn't call it anything.

it was literally the first time somebody lied about the Earth not being flat.

Had you forgotten Galileo Galilei was condemned, in part because of his assertion that the Earth was round like any other celestial body. The Church came to agree with his reasoning in short order, and the last academic holdouts of a flat Earth were busted.

Only jews have ever tried to lie about the known shape of the Earth. They call this pilpul (endless splitting of hairs), you know.

[ - ] McNasty 0 points 8 monthsAug 6, 2024 00:44:24 ago (+0/-0)

Sure, can say that the talmundic claim of a cube Earth is a joke, but you can also say the same thing and be legitimately serious about it. I think men having babies is a joke. If I was wearing a suit and called myself a liberal it wouldn't be a joke.
