1961 Ford Thunderbird Convertible.

I was 13 yo when this song came out in 1964, the local radio station in the South Australian country town played it constantly, at that time I thought it was an ok song and that's all .. things were tough financially for me then, I made a little money trapping rabbits and selling them cleaned and skinned to local ppl, mostly I could lay my hands on about "ten bob" which is a dollar in today's currency .. the T Bird line had me stumped, I eventually found out a T Bird is a sporty American convertible that went for around 20 grand A .. got me to thinking who the hell teenage girl could get one of those .. I never was a big fan of the Beach Boys at any time, this song was about as far as they ever got with me.
