I'm more impressed that someone cut off a chair leg and mounted a ball peen hammer to it with finish nails.

That's some hardcore shit right there.

Whatever, came out good.

I think the point is that he has skills that are increasingly disappearing. Think I'm wrong, what percentage of American 18 year olds, if given the same rusty piece of metal that this guy started out with, could produce what this guy did, to the exacting level that he did it? How many 18 year old boys today would know what the grit rating of sandpaper even means, or have actually ever used sandpaper?

What's the point? Anybody who uses a ball peen knows it's uses. This guy spent hours apon hours resoring a fucking hammer you can just go out and buy. Some people have better things to do than waste time and money over a fucking hammer.

The point is That Guy developed the skills to restore an old hammer, and he increased his skill base which is quite transferable to other projects. Knowledge IS power! YOU would take the alternative and have no skills, and you would be forever dependent on the government makers? Yes it is a simple reproducible hammer! The point is, having the skills to become more in control of your own destiny!
