Air is a mix of molecules that are all vibrating at different frequencies. "Hot" air and "cold" air exist simultaneously in a given volume. One way of separating them is a centrifuge, in which the hot and cold gases will exit from different orifices.

I can't find the video but you can make a centrifugal chamber that you connect the input to an air compressor and it has 2 outputs; one gets super hot and one gets supercold.

So yeah, pure cold air isn't a thing because there is always some hot air in it. Unless, of course, you reach absolute zero (good luck with that)

The real magic is in the phase-changing fluid and the compressor. Just had to clean out the rear heatsink and coils the other day when it overheated and had a safety shut off in 105f heat.
