I was visiting a friend in Florence and rode one of his Ducati's. He got me a tour of the factory in Borgo Panigale.
Ordered one through the factory and while I was there I got to meet the guys who were going to be building my bike.
Good dudes. It was nice to see White Men with a passion for machines and performance doing a job they clearly loved.
It was a good day.

(Almost forgot to mention: When my bike was being unpacked at the dealership here in the states, the guys working on the line had included a personalized card with everyone's signature that had worked on that bike. The guy at the dealership had never seen that before. Very cool. It was kind of dusty in that shop, as I recall.)
