It's new to me but it's a word that describes a state of mind that one is continuously dwells in, basically has a hate on for the world, rational or not and never finds good in anything or anyone...it's one of those words that covers a lot of ground...many liberal activists, union leaders and low life agitators fit this word. It's like nothing's ever better and the fight must continue, ie "we've still got a long way to go" type of thing.

"When the weak call the strong evil, the move is not merely defensive; it is also an expression of that peculiar malice which Nietzsche referred to as ressentiment."
Not quite a Nietzsche quote, but somewhat explanatory. Ressentiment is a sort of anger toward a person or thing that one identifies as the cause of one's frustration. Ex: "If they weren't so perfect, I wouldn't feel like such a loser."
@Sector2...it is a good word and I'd say you defined it well. The word was actually used to explain the cerebral hemisphere or frame of mind of "Jean-Paul Marat", a scab face jakobite with a hate on for the world, he was a useful idiot for the Illuminati in the French Revolution 1779 along with Robespierre and Danton and Adam Weishaupt (Spartacus), and in the end they turned on each other....but Marat was such a worthless shred of human debris, similar to "Nicolai Yezhov" (the bloody dwarf), that he couldn't hide from his self loathing complex and sought to blame everyone else for his delusional ambitions that would fail before even being applied and for that it was everyone else's fault, ergo the guillotine...he was despised by most but served a purpose for the few....and it was the jew behind all of it.

Good word of the day, if not the decade.
