For all intents and purposes, the earth is flat enough. All engineering diagrams of buildings call for "level" but the way it is measured is hydraulic (i.e. pressure from a manometer). Note that if the earth is a flat disc or globular, the measurements will remain "flat".
One could say that anyone that brings the complication of curvature into the construction site is doing wasteful computations and to get results that are deeply within error of what could be measured between the two models.
So, for all intents and purposes (unless talking about airplane flights, but that's a talk for a whole other set of measurements that I'm not privy to) the earth is provably flat enough to be just "flat".

Newton says gravity cannot work through a vacuum because it needs a medium. Einstein said fuck that medium and used Newton's equation anyway. It was 95% inaccurate. Probably why Newton said it was absurd. So for Einstein's predictions to be accurate, he had to infer dark matter. That is text book post hoc reasoning. I'm going to skate out on thin ice here, but here goes.
For all intents and purposes, the earth is flat enough. All engineering diagrams of buildings call for "level" but the way it is measured is hydraulic (i.e. pressure from a manometer). Note that if the earth is a flat disc or globular, the measurements will remain "flat".
One could say that anyone that brings the complication of curvature into the construction site is doing wasteful computations and to get results that are deeply within error of what could be measured between the two models.
So, for all intents and purposes (unless talking about airplane flights, but that's a talk for a whole other set of measurements that I'm not privy to) the earth is provably flat enough to be just "flat".
I wonder why someone would feel so strongly about such a thing? Why are you calling for a bunch of useless computations in everyones lives by imposing a spherical coordinate system upon something simpler (and works) like a cartesian coordinate system.
Have you even studied continuum mechanics?
