I thought the same thing when I went through their albums about two years ago. Their earlier albums were more experimental and had touches of post-rock to them. It seems they sold out sometime during the production of their last three albums, and now they sound like generic metal.

Check out Cult of Luna. One of the best metal bands on earth, highly underrated.
