The first 10 mins of the opening ceremonies on TV. Was literally 2 faggots running around a library playing ass grab. Then it ends with them kissing and closing a door to go buttfuck each other.

I don't have an issue with kikes killing sand niggers. That being said, the Germans have historically been much more effective at warfare.

Why in English though? Doesn't make sense to me. I mean I really like it, but it doesn't make sense.

The target audience reads English. It's not in French because a fuckton more people read English and French than French alone.

Prophesy will be fulfilled.

“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that her desolation is near. Then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains, and those who are inside the city must leave, and those who are in the country must not enter the city; because these are days of punishment, so that all things which have been written will be fulfilled.

Luke 21:20-22

this happened in 70 ad. fun fact christians at the time heeded this prophecy in that year and avoided to be massacred by the jews and romans

yes the jews killed the other jews that wanted to escape. i bet that your pastor hasnt told you that.

It really seems like the context clues suggest otherwise.

Before the scripture quoted.
Luke 21:6-7
“As for these things which you are observing, the days will come when there will not be left one stone upon another, which will not be torn down.” They asked Him questions, saying, “Teacher, when therefore will these things happen? And what will be the sign when these things are about to take place?”

And after...

Luke 21:25-28
“There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting from fear and the expectation of the things that are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

As you can see this would suggest a time to come.

Maybe the context clues is why pastors aren't teaching this is as something of the past.

I'm interested if you read commentary or teaching suggesting this or is this something you have thought for yourself. Like how did you come about this idea?

As you can see this would suggest a time to come.

70 ad jesus was mostly predicting 70 ad. the second coming is a separate event way in to the future. look jerusalem and the temple were destroyed the only thing that remained was adrian's wall which the jews calls mistakenly the outer wall of the second temple read josephus and he details what the romans did to jerusalem

But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

again, jesus is talking about two events unfolding in to one. first is the destruction of israel and the second temple that was built by Herod the great (you didnt know that right?)

then he goes in to explaining the cosmic conditions of his second coming.

study this
matthew 24
1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3 ¶ And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. 15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. 23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 25 Behold, I have told you before. 26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

then he says:

29 >¶ Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. 32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

did you catch that? is after the tribulation of those days. which he is referring to here? after the destruction of the second temple.

i like you used to believe the same way you do until i started to look in to history and divide the word of truth.

is not one big event. jesus is talking about stages here.the later being his second coming.

there wont be any third temple for him to sit on because at any rate antichrist will supposedly sit there and not only that he will bring his own city with him called the new jerusalem

at the second coming he wil resurrect his own and then burn everything down

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

why peter doesnt talk about a rapture here? because there's none!

there's two resurrections the just and the unjust. the first one believers will hear the voice of the lord at the great shout and they will be caught up just to witness jesus destroy the earth in order to renew it.

this means no more earthly anything

but the bible promises a thousand years? this is true but one day is as 1000 years to the LORD and 1000 years is like a day with him

Psalms 90:4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

i have no answer to these

Revelation 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

Revelation 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Revelation 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

honestly, again i dont know what to make of this but that's not my problem. i'm only called to believe not to solve eschatological problems

[ - ] Nasturtium 1 point 10 monthsJul 27, 2024 18:18:47 ago (+1/-0)

Thanks for your passionate reply. I'm on my phone out of the country atm and this is a lot to unpack.

A few points at least... I understand it could be laid out as a few events. My questioning mind went to the the tribulation and The great tribulation. On some level, the great wrath bowl judgements could be seen as the 'great tribulation' and the start of the breaking of the seals as 'the tribulation period'.

I too do not believe in the rapture as predispensational theology teaches in the last 2 hundred years only.

I'll look into Josephus again and that time period it makes sense to as the scripture mentioning the stones not been upon one another.

The thing is though Christ did not return at the fall of Jerusalem, nor immediately after. It seems, then, that his prophecy still awaits its greater fulfilment. If that is so, there could be a repeat of conditions such as those during the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70, but on a wider scale and with greater intensity. The powers of nature on earth and in space will be thrown into confusion, nations will be in turmoil, and people everywhere will be filled with fear. The present age will come to an end as He returns in power and glory to save his own and judge his enemies.

thank you for your reply and i will looking forward to chat with you more on this topic. there's nothing better than to talk about christ and theology among believers even if we dont see eye to eye on some issues. as long as you hold the basic tenets of the faith, i dont care how right or wrong you are on eschatology because lets face it some parts are easy to digest others are pretty difficult due to the symbolism that is being use , specially in the book of revelation.

there are some stuff that leaves me wondering why the apostles didnt go further in their teachings and i'm not talking about john here since he didnt had control of what was being revealed to him.

peter and paul and james they knew about doctrine and could have asked the holy spirit for more clarification. they expected the coming of the LORD to happen in their day and we all know that it didnt sometimes i ask myself why the holy spirit didnt tell them that they lord would tarry more.

is the second coming and the day of the lord the same? because if so then there are issues that needs to be addressed here because peter is talking about an instantaneous judgement by the lord and it seems to imply the regeneration to fully follow after everything is melted down.

whereas, in revelation we have a thousand year gap and a millenial kingdom of some kind before the battle of GOG and magog

so as believer i ask, which is it?

Revelation 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

i have heard explanations that say that for example the book of revelation is a repetition of the same judgements that God pours out to humanity at the end of time.

but outside of the book of revelation the only times that GOD SEEMS to be talking about the messianic kingdom is in the old testament book of daniel, ezekiel etc etc

in the new testament outside the book of peter and Thessalonians and revelation little its said about a potential milleanial kingdom. when jesus talk in matt 24 he seems to point out to the great white throne judgement which doesnt happen on earth? read below

Matthew 25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

does the above happes at his second coming or the great white throne judgement? are these two the same or are they separate events??

i have no clue. if it happens at his second coming then why the great white throne judgment needs to happen? see the problem here. the goats will be sent to the lake of fire and in the great white throne judgement all ppl come back to life to be judged ....??

Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the >earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

1 Corinthians 13:12-13
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully, just as I also have been fully known. But now faith, hope, and love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Truly, love is the greatest, prophesy, tongues, and giftings will fall away, but love will remain.

This gives us focus when we are not able to see the full picture, so that we fall onto Him with trust, faith, love and He fills us with a Spirit filled gut gumption of knowing things. Then we act and live in a state of love and it unfolds as it should without fear or prejudice.

Have a beautiful day, brother!

France has been sending enormous quantities of weapons and soldiers to perpetuate a war for the past year. Their leader was trying to escalate this with large numbers of NATO troops just a few months ago.
