Some of them seem to genuinely suffer from some kind of paranoia/trust issues that drives them to develop alternative theories to everything, since believing anything mainstream would be submission in their eyes. Or they fear being mislead about reality and think that any practical position (that could in fact be wrong) is permanent and can never be changed.

You see this phenomenon in technical fields too, where people feel like they must develop their own solutions to every engineering problem, even if there are good solutions out there already (NIH syndrome).

Nothing. It's the people that do it all the time that are the problem. I've done DMT and found the experience to be a net benefit. It's my opinion that psychedelic drugs are valuable tools in moderation and the correct set and setting.

Yeah, I knew a guy that had a vape pen with a DMT cartridge. He would do it weekly. I've only ever done it once. It was intense but also comfortable. I recommend it if you get the chance. Also, I didn't find it to be overly spiritual but I can see how other people would.

For example, the moon size proof. Anyone can measure the apparent size of the moon with a digital camera and see how it changes based on when the moon is at apogee and perigee in its monthly orbit. Problem is that according to flat earth theory the apparent moon size should change in a daily cycle based on when it is relatively close at zenith and relatively far away at sunset and sunrise.

Fair point, but then again I don't think there is one 'flat earth theory' and many accept the moon is simply not fully understood. In the masonic globe model there are likewise glaring problems. Evidently the moon just by coincidence has been scaled and positioned in the exact parameters required for a total lunar eclipse. The odds of this configuration happening from 'the big bang' are astronimcal, pun intended. And furthermore, it relies on parameters with absolutely garganteous proportions. Not to mention all happening at an orbital speed of ~66,000 MPH.

In an enclosed dome, above a stationary plane with a near sun and moon at approx the same size and altitude; you simply do not need these extreme parameters.

Any explanation is better than no explanation. The question of why the sun and moon have about the same angular size is unanswered for for both globe and flat earth models, IOW a model doesn't have to be complete to be useful. Unanswered problems are not necessarily glaring ones. The globe earth theory doesn't rely on the big bang theory to be useful. There is no problem with an orbital speed of 66,000 mph since there's no atmosphere that the moon has to move though when it orbits. That speed isn't extreme given what we know about how massive bodies orbit each other.
