The motorcycle accident page on Rotten.com is why I wont get on a motorcycle.

You’re better off. I had one for a few years and you’re literally invisible to drivers.

I witnessed a bad motorcycle wreck like this one time. They wiped out in a big curve and the guardrail acted like a meat slicer. Both the man and woman were beheaded and chopped into chunks like this. Very sad. They didn't deserve that. I came upon another wreck years later and the riders head was in the helmet on the side of the road while his body was downwind about 60 yards.

I've got my Alpinestars shirt on right now. After going down in two bikes, I'm done. Glad I didn't end up like this guy. Coroner visited me on my 2nd bike. He gave me his card and said, 11 bikes came in tonight. You're the only one that lived. Remember that. I still have his card.

I live in the Texas hill country, lots of hills and curves. When the weathers nice, groups of cyclists come out to race on those roads. There’s a wicked curve between the two ends of the horseshoe shaped street that is my neighborhood. When I see lots of traffic thru my hood, that’s the cops rerouting cars around a crash on that curve. The forest there is filled with motorcycle parts and probably a lot of ghosts.

You can still die in an enclosed vehicle with 4 wheels, but it's far easier on a motorcycle. There are some gruesome videos and compilations on WPD. Instead of needing a fender repaired, the cyclist needs someone to find that left leg for him.

Damn. Crazy seeing this. I just got a call from one of my friends. Apparently one of our mutual friends died saturday night on his bike. Said his chest got completely crushed. Was pernounced dead on scene.
I sold mine over a decade ago and will never get another one. I got lucky when I got into a crash with mine.

The problem is most squids that buy a race bike have never actually raced on a track and therefore have no clue how to control the bike. Many times you can lean the bike over way more than you would think and make the corner. Instead the noob panics, clamps the brakes and down they go.
