Had Vitamin D Tested

submitted by Trope to Health 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 14:17:31 ago (+19/-1)     (Health)

Never been to a doctor before as an adult. In fact, for the longest time, I was the type of person who planned to never go as I don’t want or need medication. However, I have a keen interest in nutrition and the prospect of having a blood test done could serve as a helpful tool to improve my health.

My Vitamin D was measured at 86 ng/mL with the reference range being between 30 and 100. Currently sitting at the high end of optimal.

I was very curious to see this measure as I have been taking 25,400 IU of oral vitamin D3 daily for the past 120 days with generally 1 hour weekly of sunbathing upon the Great Lakes region (when possible) sporting northern European fair skin.

I had a suspicion that oral supplementation alone would be insufficient for optimal levels but it appears they have worked just fine. 25K IU sounds like a high dosage but I have a firm belief the move from mcg to IU was in an intentional effort to help worsen the health of the general public while simultaneously scaring people away from sunshine. I combine D3 supplementation with K2, magnesium citrate, and vitamin A from a quality multivitamin while adhering to a carnivore diet.

I would suggest everyone here supplement vitamin D3 at a much higher dosage than the RDA.

Is lyme disease real?

[ - ] Peleg 3 points 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 14:49:24 ago (+3/-0)

Yes. Lymes disease is real. So is Rocky Mountain Spotted Tic disease.
Someone close to me has rocky mountain spotted tic disease and because of it they developed alpha gal. I went with this person for one of their doc's appointments. This doc specializes in the tic diseases. He fully believes that the tic diseases were made by the government and turned loose on society. He came to that conclusion because of the research that he himself has done. The fact that most doctors and medical professionals don't even recognize these diseases as being real is part of the proof that brought him to his conclusion.

[ - ] Trope [op] 0 points 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 14:21:17 ago (+0/-0)

I really haven't looked into Lyme disease but would consider investigating it. I generally read books from Internet Archive and listen to books on Audible. Truth be told, I don’t really know what Lyme disease is.

What was that magnesium that is good to take?

[ - ] Sector2 3 points 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 15:13:16 ago (+3/-0)

I do magnesium glycinate, but some are taking magnesium citrate.

Magnesium Glycinate is often preferred for its calming effect, making it ideal for improving sleep and relaxation. On the other hand, Magnesium Citrate is particularly effective for digestive health and is commonly used as a laxative due to its ability to attract water into the intestines.

[ - ] Trope [op] 4 points 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 16:28:13 ago (+4/-0)

Both are good. Glucinate is more absorbale than citrate but both are vastly superior to magnesium oxide which has a very low absorbtion rate.

Magnesium citrate has had a powerful calming effect on me since the day after I began supplementation. It also lowered my high blood pressure and resting heart rate and stopped a palpitation immediately.

[ - ] Sector2 2 points 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 16:45:53 ago (+2/-0)

Hmmm, maybe I'll look for a combo next time.

Sanderson brand has an organic ultra-absorption Magnesium Fx of Citrate, amino Acid Chelate, Orotate, Aspartate magnesium salts.
Zero non-organic Magnesium Oxide and magnesium Phosphate.

Incorrect.

[ - ] Prairie 2 points 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 15:15:47 ago (+2/-0)

Exactly. A lower dose might give a similar blood reading. It's like the vitamin C overdose craze. "C is good, so more is better!" If you like expensive colored urine.

[ - ] dass 0 points 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 18:39:47 ago (+0/-0)

Vit c doesn't color your urine.

[ - ] Prairie 0 points 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 18:47:14 ago (+0/-0)

Facts disagree.

[ - ] dass 0 points 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 19:06:27 ago (+0/-0)

Nope, show me your best facts - it's the addition of binding/ flavoring/ coloring agents in the mix if your urine is dis-colored after vitamin c.
I use, a moderate dose of 2000-4000mcg daily of an organic vitamin C, zero dis-coloring.

You might be confusing Vitamin B - that will turn urine bright yellow/ orange.

[ - ] Trope [op] 1 point 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 19:17:07 ago (+1/-0)

Can attest. Vitamin C does not colorize urine based on my experience with 2000 - 4000mg. I did notice it can make it bubbly but there are other variables to consider.

[ - ] dass 0 points 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 19:25:52 ago (+0/-0)

I did notice it can make it bubbly but there are other variables to consider.

Yes, like How tall are you ?/.

[ - ] Ragnar 0 points 9 monthsJul 22, 2024 10:08:22 ago (+0/-0)

What does height have to do with it?

[ - ] dass 0 points 9 monthsJul 22, 2024 15:48:12 ago (+0/-0)

Taller one is at standing height - more distance urine has to the bowl = greater height = more bubbles .....

[ - ] Prairie 1 point 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 21:43:15 ago (+1/-0)

Virtually all sources I find say it does. I'm willing to believe otherwise, but can't find a source.

[ - ] dass 1 point 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 22:06:51 ago (+1/-0)*

Just No, can show you sources ?? - if the urine is discolored it is likely from tablet binding agents, additives and coloring. end of story.

EDIT: Just went to gaggle - first page - imply it is beta carotene of vit c - implication is the coloring is present in urine after actually eating vit c containing foods/ fruits vegetables.
The first 6 mainstream official sources i went to (Cleveland clinic/ mayo institute health, NIH, Harvard health publishing et al ) all have Zero clarification if the vit c supplementation was a purely 'organic' buffered source or one with additives/ colorings/ or fruit/ vegetable derived.

All mention vitamin B as the most typical, only some include Vit c as 'may or can' obviously depending on how it is sourced/ processed = ie beto carotene and or colorings..

Along with my organic vit C, i have an older mainstream Swisse brand Ultiboost high strength Vit c/ zinc powder - guess what it includes ?, 7 different additives including 'flavoring substance/ coloring substance, soya beans and sulphites'.

Basically fine read the actual sources and article and apply the holo-cov obfuscation / conflation / by implication but not realty based lense.
Those sources dont actually say what you think they say - it's all slight of hand .

[ - ] Prairie 1 point 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 23:03:33 ago (+1/-0)

Basically fine read the actual sources and article and apply the holo-cov obfuscation / conflation / by implication but not realty based lense.

Yep, I just got frustrated trying to get clear statements. They're not being precise, and I bet now that many of them are just regurgitating information without critical thinking.

CrapGPT claims that ascorbic acid itself alters urine pH, which can alter its colors.

[ - ] dass 0 points 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 23:45:48 ago (+0/-0)*

Yea, ikr, crapGPT is correct in a sense, ascorbic acid is known/ can alter urine pH results - but heres the thing - there was an entire clinical study done about false positives of urine analysis and vit c (ascorbic acid) on the first page of results (NIH or Harvard Health iirc) - however the study actually detailed the effects of false positives for the presence of other markers/ substances caused by vit c, and not actually being about changing the color of urine, it's about changing the color of the test pH paper - that is what i believe crapGPT is using for 'changes the color of urine (silent part pH test paper)'.

Ie, it it technically true pH can change the color of urine (pH test paper) to give a false positive (base don pH paper test colors) however it didn't actually show proof / oor was the study about vit c ascorbic acid changing the color of urine per say, only about giving false positives via changing the color of pH test paper results. Sleight of hand.

[ - ] Trope [op] 1 point 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 15:18:57 ago (+1/-0)

Mostly beef. I had to cut out dairy as I’ve felt much better without it.

I just picked up MCT oil in an effort to start a fasting regimine starting tomorrow.

[ - ] dass 1 point 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 20:35:44 ago (+1/-0)

i began using MCT oil daily, maybe 6-9 months. I actually like the taste (not that it is much of one /).

Yeah, ditched most dairy 5 years ago - goyslop weight fell off along with better diet - only a single full cream triple expresso in the morning and thats pretty much my entire dairy intake except rare infrequent use - zero ice cream, yoghurt, milk, cheese etc - dont miss it actually.

Nice dude. I have been stuck at a high BMI despite carnivore so while everyone and their mother was dropping weight in “keto”, I started digging deeper. I’ve resolved a number of health issues and believe I’m ready to get the six pack abs I’ve been chasing. I mean, I’m not fat. Just not as lean as I want to be.

[ - ] dass 0 points 9 monthsJul 22, 2024 00:46:43 ago (+0/-0)

Yep, i hear you .

I've heard my entire life how what you eat/diet is important but never really appreciated how true that was until having multiple ongoing health/ mental issues, thta was able to almost completely resolve by total lifestyle change/ total revamp of diet, a bit of regular exercise/ work outs - and dropping all the big pharma garbage (imo just as important), with the understanding of explicitly seeking to address specific issues via diet/ supplementation etc. Night and day 5 years on.
tbf, takes a fair amount of reading/ research and finding what works and what doesn't, but hey that's life, all all about the journey something something.

Free farmed meats/ poultry for the win - plenty clean filtered cold water/ start my day with organic apple cider vinegar/ water - lots of organic green tea - zero sugar/ zero goy slop/ minimal processed / packeted food. Plus plenty of roasted garlic (entire whole clove a night - and lots of wasabi sauce on my high fibre low GI filled lunch buns /lol.
My only go to snacks are either mandarins or raisins (probably 3 large packets a week).

I found that after losing about 33kgs total from 2019 - then working out to bulking out a bit more at 82 kg today - my abdominals need constant regular work -3 - 4 times a week (just 3 sets 25 reps of super sets, crunch/ sit up and twist sit up/ knee ups after weighted side bends or they quickly begin reverting back to squashed pie after a single damn week.

Keep in mind that vitamin D3 is rat poison.
Literally.

They use rats to test if all sorts of additives are safe for humans because rats are similar to humans, and yet this supplement is the active ingredient for rat poison.

Trust no one.

[ - ] yesiknow 0 points 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 16:41:34 ago (+1/-1)

I suggest everyone here do not supplement vitamin D3 at a much higher dosage than the RDA.

It's fat soluble. It builds up in your system and can be very toxic. It interferes with the absorption of minerals if there too much of it.

Promoting the hypochondria of health fears for the massive profits of the OTC supplement industry is sleazy.

Eat a variety of natural foods with carbs, protein and vegetables or fruit in balance and you will be eating the diet the human body and alimentary system was designed to grind, digest, assimilate and extract energy from.

If you live to fuss about your shit processor, you're not living.

[ - ] Trope [op] 1 point 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 19:55:17 ago (+1/-0)

I disagree with your comment but I’ll meet you halfway by suggesting a person have their blood levels tested. If low on vitamin D, do what I suggested then test again. If high, perhaps listen to your comment.

You put too much faith in the farming practices, fertilizer quality, and soil health. Magnesium has long been depleted from the soil. I’d suggest the study of books over the assumption that you can just eat natural foods. I’ll even make the argument that you can begin learning about these natural foods and the nutrition within them.

[ - ] yesiknow 0 points 9 monthsJul 22, 2024 16:34:09 ago (+0/-0)

Mineral balances in the body are not subject to opinion.

[ - ] dass 0 points 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 18:39:03 ago (+1/-1)*

BS - The RDA is purposely low so as to NOT provide self-healing.
K2 is also important in conjunction with those supplementing Vit D3 at a higher dose.

I use 5000IU per day during summer and up to 10000Iu per day in winter (along with 200mcg k2 daily)

The RDA is 400-800IU. Absolutely worthless.

EDIT: You're literally talking about doses of 50 000IU per day over 3 months plus for toxicity.

Stop with the big pharma kike fear porn.

5000 IU D3 nightly after fatty meal has me at 40NG/ml.

I've seen some people saying that optimal levels are towards the higher end of the 30-100 range (as is the case with many of the "recommended" ranges, like testosterone).

I've also seen Dr. Stasha Gominak take the view that the optimal level may vary uniquely to individuals. This is based on healthy primitive peoples who were studied and had varying levels, as well as with her clinical experience of prescribing D3 to patients and getting feedback from them at various levels.

Sunlight exposure production is self-limiting to help protect the body from poisonous levels of vit D, whereas over-supplementation can be harmful.

All "RDAs" are insufficiently low, look at vitamin C, I believe the RDA is 90mgs per day when in fact 90mgs will do nothing, given that the body needs a compounding amount due to the absorption/expell ratio the actual intake should be 6 - 10,000mgs, of that 10,000mgs the body is going to absorb only about 2,000 and the rest is flushed out...I once remember a doc telling me that a physically active male needs 1,500-2,000mgs a day of C and that the standard RDA was inadequate...he told me that staying healthy requires minimum 10,000mgs of C a day, which is why I'm big on fresh fruit every day

[ - ] dass 1 point 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 18:29:19 ago (+1/-0)*

Yep exactly.
RDA for vitamin D is 400-800Iu - total garbage.

They absolutely do not want anyone but themselves healing the public.

[ - ] Trope [op] 1 point 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 19:48:57 ago (+1/-0)

[ - ] Zyklonbeekeeper 0 points 9 monthsJul 22, 2024 10:34:13 ago (+0/-0)

Average expell/absorption ratio is 5:1...10,00mgs daily will leave 2,000mgs in the body...C is highly (water) soluble and much is pissed out which is why a compounded dose is required, ideally you'd want 2,000mgs to stay in your body, which means taking 10,000mgs.

[ - ] NeverHappened 0 points 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 18:17:47 ago (+0/-0)

No one but each individual is more invested in their own health.
up to each to decide what is in their best interests and act accordingly. what works for some may not work for others - however it is beneficial for all to share around ideas and information of individual experience of what has worked and what has not.

[ - ] dass 1 point 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 18:33:59 ago (+1/-0)*

Nutritional levels of food have massively decreased via overuse of land/ pesticides/ animal antibiotics/ constant diets of sub par grain/ living conditions and over-processing / with synthetic additives/ flavors/ colors etc -sick animals create sick people.

Free farmed meat poultry - organic fruits and vegetables - most people consist on a diet of overly processed goyslop/ sugar and seed oil.

[ - ] NeverHappened 1 point 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 19:08:12 ago (+1/-0)

[ - ] Trope [op] 1 point 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 19:22:41 ago (+1/-0)

I believe in both. Eat the right foods and supplement.

To not supplement is to put too much faith in farming practices, soil health, and fertilizer quality. To give some quick examples:

Farmers warned the soils of the US have been depleted of magnesium for decades back in the 1930s. Source: The Magnesium Miracle.

The daily exposure to bromine displaces iodine in the body. It is insufficient to obtain iodine from diet alone when faced with bromine and fluroide. It’s very easy to supplement iodine, historically, the Midwest has been known as the Goiter Belt given it’s iodine-deficient soil and distance from the ocean. Source: The Iodine Crisis.

A lot of people suffered from schizophrenia until the government mandated the enrichment of white flour with B vitamins in the early 1900s. Source: Niacin - The Real Story. Schizophrenia is a niacin dependency and is cured with continuous high doses.

[ - ] dass 1 point 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 20:07:41 ago (+1/-0)

Yep, same here.

Basically take what works , leave the rest.

NZ soil is historically mineral (zinc etc) deficient, overuse and soil quality etc.

I found several amino acids useful combating/ mediating previous long standing chronic depression / suicidal idealation, mental health after someone on here posted a link to a reddit (of all places) thread on using supplements for mental health well being against / severe depression/ bi-polar etc .

5 years in - all previous mental health issues resolved and largely disappeared. As well as coming off deacade and a half of SSRI's, anxiety meds etc.
Big pharma is a shame. - All the 'Official med data tells me what i am doing in inconclusive/ not enough data etc - however multiple health/ sports blogs understand the use of these things very well - basically creating better / improved Nitric oxide neurological pathways in the blood brain barrier (among a whole lot of other similar stuff)

I’m interested to hear more. Which amino acids are you taking? What are you supplementing?

For anyone with anxiety or depression, I would absolutely advise an elimination diet of beef and salt for several weeks with magnesium. Then go from there. Nothing makes me feel better than beef-only.

My ferritin is high which is understand can tank testosterone. I’ll be looking to draw blood through phlebotomy to see if I can get the levels down to the optimal range. I would chalk this up to the combination of a carnivore diet and desk job.

I should really find the bookmark for the entire reddit thread. contained various links detailing the benefits of each from available known clinical studies and or health/ fitness blogs etc.
Sorry for the long novel
For context suffered a traumatic brain injury 2007 left with epilepsy/ night seizures/ chronic insomnia/ major memory loss / and cognitive impairment. Literally only half retarded.

Dr pumped me full of various SSRI's x2 daily, anxiety meds, statins, 4 different blood pressures daily.
Quickly became a fat slow witted dumb goy - with serious self-internalized mental health issues complicated by ongoing sleep deprivation and inability to think/ focus / concentrate. Right where they wanted me.
Some 10 years of hit miss self-help/ learning to live with a brain injury, accepting my mind will never be quit as fast or as good as it once was, something switched/ clicked in my head 2019 that only myself could change what i saw and began focusing on health, diet and complete lifestyle change - time to hit the internet and read, read and read.
began with a 6 week herbal intestinal cleanse, and added more to my daily schedule as able on top more reading of blogs/ health sites- lockdown hit - blessing in disguise stopped all goyslop etc.

Anyways- along with my usual daily vitamin/ mineral supplement regime - These are all the amino acids i take to target chronic depression/ Mood/ brain health etc.

Mornings -
1g Acetyl L carnitine (Al-Car)
1g Taurine
1g Agmatine sulphate (three days on, one day off)
Magnolia extract 3x daily morning noon night (Relora brand name).

Late Afternoon -
1g DLPA (D and L Phenylalanine)
1g Taurine

Night before 30-45mins before bed -
3g Glycine

I also take otc 5-HTP, L-Theonine, ashwagandha along with 4G melatonin and 500mcg Natural Elemental Marine sourced Magnesium at night.

And for working out -
5g Creatine monohydrate daily
3g L Citrulline ( workouts days with the Creatine)

About to add next week to the workout routine
3g d Aspartic acid.

EDIT: So 5 years in, Night and day difference. Physically, mentally spiritually. All health markers stabilized within normal range, cholesterol markers both within normal and upper range, crazy insane high blood pressure reduced and stabilized (i should also disclose that unfortunately my Schwang did not also increase exponentially - oh well win some lose some).

But would you suggest the sunbathing?

[ - ] Belfuro 3 points 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 18:38:31 ago (+3/-0)

Fact. Skin cancer rates continue to climb long after people stopped getting sunlight.

Sun causes skin cancer is another jewish well poison

'Cover up, and Slap on our skin cancer causing sunscreens, goy'

[ - ] Trope [op] 0 points 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 19:18:53 ago (+0/-0)

Absolutely. I wish I could get more sun exposure. So long as you can avoid burning.

The deadly form of skin cancer, melanoma, is not caused by sun exposure. Any cancer formed from sunlight will be topical and treatable. Although I believe the development cancer is a symptom of poor health rather than UV exposure.

i do 10,000 iu daily for the last 5 years.....never been sick, never got covid, never got the jab

[ - ] dass 1 point 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 19:21:31 ago (+1/-0)

Good for you - yeah i do 5000-10000iu daily depending on season.

Both times holo-cov was 5-7 days of a bit of annoying insomnia, bit of a blocked nose, itchy throat over the hump day 3- both young sons similar more coughing, runny nose - utterly completely resolved by 7th-10 th day -zero cough -mucus.

All of us purebloods - all the others around us 10-14 days sick as donkeys but jabbed and boosted, and up to 4 / 5 times infected each. Go figure

[ - ] fnbs 0 points 9 monthsJul 21, 2024 22:48:08 ago (+0/-0)

You can get 20,000IU's of vit d3 with just 45 minutes of sunlight

[ - ] UncleDoug 0 points 9 monthsJul 22, 2024 06:02:36 ago (+0/-0)

Pharma bad. Also make sure you take your pharma vitamins.

You guys are a fucking joke.

I combine D3 supplementation

Hey dickheads, all supplementation has known issues regarding biological dysfunction, just eat healthy ffs and stop munching burgers and cum on your fries.
I'm not going to repeat myself again regarding bioavalability, this is something else entirely. Get off BigPharmas tit before you get ass cancer.

D3 disease interactions:
arrhythmia
electrolyte imbalance
hypercalcemia
renal dysfunction
hepatobiliary dysfunction
