"Hey, I'm a woman who breaks up with a man if he disagrees with me, rather than works through things or compromises in any way. He didn't wanna buy this house. I did. So I left that loser, because I don't need no man, and I couldn't be happier."

Like, why is that story even necessary for advertising a real estate marketer? Is the size of your "I'll leave my man to be a homeowner" segment so large it justifies running this ad, when clearly couples will have more purchasing power and will be far likelier to buy houses than 20-something single feminists? I bet they'll make an ad with a black male and female couple buying a house together; they'll probably have a kid and talk about investing in his future.

One question worth considering that I don't have the answer to is do they somehow tend to make better margins on single women.

Maybe the DIY instincts of men causes couples to walk out on Zillow when they try to market some of their services. But the single woman who prefers security and simplicity will use Zillow's services at any price point.

A man is more likely to say fuck this shit, "I'm just going to call their number and see if they'd be interested in selling man to man with none of this third party bullshit. And if I have to I'll cold call 30 people before I give these snakes any money." There is a price point where that is what men will do.

You make a good point, and this point sprawls out to just about every reason that there actually is for female empowerment. On their own, they tend to be more trusting and agreeable. As independent political voters, especially if they are unmarried, they will vote differently than men -- certainly, things will be much different than if a man cast a single vote on behalf of his family. They definitely have different spending habits, and they are definitely far likelier to trust the man selling them X, Y, and Z service at a premium than if there was a man with her applying scrutiny.

To many, that sounds old-fashioned. But ask anybody who bids jobs for residential services of any kind. 95% of the time, your ideal situation is selling to a woman, whether the man is absent or just not around at the moment. Or, next time you walk up to a contractor trying to sell your woman something (say, he walked up on the street), notice the change in his demeanor. They never want the man around. Their job gets harder.

I'd say that the man in this case is the winner. He left behind a dumb bitch who probably just burdened herself with an unnecessarily huge debt and interest rate. If she wanted to afford the house, the best way would have been with finding a plan and working together.

There are countless couples, where the man realises that they can't afford the house, but the woman wants it and doesn't care how much debt they take on or how much the home will increase in value, etc.

Realtors want people to walk into the first house they see and declare, "This place is shiny and pretty. I want it."
Without giving it any rational thoughts.

By convincing women to say, "I don't care I want it. I DON'T CARE I WANT IT!! I MAKE THE DECISIONS!!" having women say that every time the man asks what the property taxes are, or what kind of interest rate they'll get - By getting the women to do that, sales increase, haggling decreases.

Making home buying an emotional decision instead of a rational investment - increases sales, the price of sales, the speed of sales. And makes it overall easier, quicker, and more profitable for the realtor.
