This is an inlet. It was a coal mine, filled with natural springs. Lots of inlets, which makes it appear as a pond.

There’s something peaceful about water. While I don’t care for getting in it, or any kind of boating, one of my favorite things to see either in person or in pictures is a sailboat marina. There’s nothing quite like it to me. Or just the water alone, like you have here.

Thank you, Ice! This lake is filled with natural spring water and was originally a coal mine, so very shallow around the shore and very deep in the center. Extraordinary clear. I grew up with boat life—Waterskiing and tubing. It is one of the simple Aryan things that I’ve kept and no matter where I’ve been, always gravitate back to. Thank you for the thoughtful comment!
