Did he or did he not order high protein buttermilk?

[ - ] KosherHiveKicker 3 points 10 monthsJul 17, 2024 21:01:14 ago (+3/-0)

*additional protein sourced from ethically grown, free-range mealworms.

I think this is a case of simple confusion. He didn't realize he was ordering butt milk, which always comes with worms in India.

No, Anal milk got USDA approval to be sold in the United States.

I don't want any food that's been near an Indian.

[ - ] Ragnar 1 point 10 monthsJul 18, 2024 00:17:19 ago (+1/-0)

Why would anyone ever EVER order anything from india? Even China would be better to order from, and that’s saying something

They're selling Amul products in the west now

[ - ] Althea 1 point 10 monthsJul 17, 2024 22:41:46 ago (+1/-0)

While that is fucking gross, it seems one of the containers leaked into the box and a fly laid eggs in it (which turn to baby maggots). That is actually not that surprising- a container could easily get smashed during transit, leading to leakage, which would cause a fly to be attracted to it. Still a disgusting thing to find regardless.
I do wonder though- is this a refrigerated product?

[ - ] Whatthefuck 0 points 10 monthsJul 17, 2024 23:50:10 ago (+0/-0)

I noticed the same thing. It's the filthy stained and soaked cardboard box all the containers shipped in that is full of worms. And I would assume, maybe also the leaking container that lost the seal. If you wet anything you might be surprised what suddenly grows there.

Also I think this is some super ultra high heat pasturized shelf stable "food" product, sold under the label "milk" through very specifically worded labeling laws that were coincidentally recently changed to enable selling this exact product. Or something like that.

I think they were shipped in an insulated box with ice packs, got too warm and the live culture made the carton burst. Amul blamed the shipping company and said orders are supposed to be delivered within three days.

I believe it is. Amul ultimately blamed the shipping company. Orders are supposed to be delivered within 3 days, indicating they're using insulated boxes with ice packs.
