The reason your Android phones don't have unlocked bootloaders and aren't rootable with custom ROMs is because Google implemented those proverbial backdoors for the government (and them) to use.

That's what they mean when they talk about it being for "security purposes". The backdoors create vulnerabilities, so they want it locked down only for them.

All your equipment has government front doors, the backdoor is for the users

Anecdotal, but I strongly suspect this is probably true.
Got any research on it?

They should. Why wouldn't they? They were all started by and financed with taxpayer dollars.

The problem is crazy liberals. They want the government to spy on absolutely everyone. THey're so communist cult it's insane.

I've NEVER purchased a phone with a bootloader I couldn't unlock.

Been running custom roms since T-Mobile G2.

why does everyone on the internet seem to try and violate the premise of anything they're responding to?

where did this trend start? i completely missed it, and I have no idea why random people everywhere seem to be participating in it.

I saw a thread someone posted in a forum last night, and 95% of the responses were violating the premise of the post and asking the OP why he'd ask the question and what he was going to use the information for. ANYTHING BUT acknowledge the premise and answer it.

Why did you claim MY android phone doesn't have an unlocked bootloader?

You need better reading comprehension skills. The problem is you here.

and you're being blocked for demonstrating poor reading skills. that is too common on this site, and i'm not interacting with it any more than I have to

verbatim:

"The reason your Android phones don't have unlocked bootloaders"

revision suggestion:

"The reason most Android phones don't ship with unlocked bootloaders"

Addendum:
