I bet that's really just a regular mirror, and the cat was captured looking at itself. Then someone photoshopped the surface of the mirror to be black, and made a meme.

I'm really fun to sit next to at a magic show.

I'd like to modify my theory: the cat is not looking at itself in the mirror, but is instead looking at the camera. The apparent angle of the wall, relative to the angle of the cat's head, relative to the camera angle appears to support this theory better, me thinks.

Im not on a computer so i cbf doing a reverse image search but I think you are correct and the original photo is the cat staring at the camera through the mirror. Which would be better than OPs post.
