Of course, he fucks this up to the point it is unintelligible. He probably has the right idea in his head, and this inability to properly organize his speech is a clear symptom of dementia. In general, it's a really pitiable thing, and having a grandparent currently dealing with it (in her 80s) has caused me to gain some sympathy for people who deal with it. At the same time, fuck Joe Biden.

It's kind of like a polite apology. Think: "Sorry for stealing your husband (to work him to death)." It's just a nice thing to say. It's something lighthearted that speech writers include in speeches to make the speaker more relatable.

I'm not defending Biden. I'm just saying we should pick better hills to fight on. This one is too easy to deny. Him saying "I fucked your wife" is not the right hill. Biden having dementia is the right hill, and we have plenty of other evidence for that.
