If you even had that, you rich fuckers.

More you just stared at the popcorn ceiling trying to make out different things with your imagination.

Yes, we allowed the electric jewbox into our households, filling our young minds with songs about rebellious crossdressing faggot jews, Twisted Sister, telling you not to listen to your parents or authority. Or the clown faggot jews kiss, telling you to party all night long while they spent their nights counting shekels from goyim who bought kiss themed toilet paper.

I had a little tv/vcr combo and I used to put on National Lampoons Vacation on in the background or I’d listen to Achtung Baby by U2.

Is he turning the radio on or off?

I wonder if people got more and better sleep back then because of no blue lights messing with your circadian rhythm

That was the 90s too, as I bought my first electric jooo in the 90s, so I could watch Jay Leno after bed. Jay was the last good late night host.

When we had a 5" mini TV we'd sneak it in at night to play Nintendo all night.

5” mini tv
Play games all night
So, a phone?

Something like this. Decades before smartphones.

I watched Leno, too. He was simple and safe. Letterman always seemed too weird and eccentric, and not in a funny way. Just awkward and creepy.

Jay was comfort food. I used to watch him most nights on my little tv/radio/alarm combo thing next to my bed. It had maybe a 3.5" screen. Glorious.

Agreed about letterman, and his bando guy was even weirder.

I remember the tape clicking off and sleepily reaching over and flipping it to side two.

First time I spent the night over at a buddy's house and discovered he had a new-fangled stereo that would automatically play both sides of the tape it darn near blew my mind.

Shit, I remember those. Never had one though. I had a Montgomery Wards boom box, probably had 10w of power, but wore that thing out with my Iron Maiden tapes!

Motherfucker was rockin' the aiwa!

In fairness, this was the early 90s, though.

Yep. I remember 'Still got the blues for you' going for about 30 minutes when you're trying to sleep, and we had dr feelgood doing sex advice. Not useful for a 14 year old.
