American football is the greatest sport as it combined violence and strategy. It is the perfect simulation for warfare. Unfortunately, it is over run by commies, niggers, and faggots.

Mountain biking. It's cheap to get into, endless permutations of equipment, and it's easy to start and do, but it can have a high skill level.

You can do it alone or in groups, bring the family, bring your dog! And you might even see some of the pros at your own park/mountain area fucking around. Watching those guys after doing it yourself is a bit humbling though.

It's also good exercise. Gets you outside doing stuff in nature.

Golf is fun to play every now and again, but I won't watch it.

The only sports I really watch is college softball and the Stanley cup series. Everything else is boring to me.

Football:
- team sport: your success is based on the coordination of 11 players at any given time, while having a couple people ready to play for each of those 11 positions

- War game: after the Civil War, people were concerned the newer generations were growing soft, so they created this sport to simulate combat. The first 20-30 years it was common for players to die from injury.

I've played and coached. Having the skill to take the ball and use whatever 11 people you choose to move the ball wherever you choose, making the opponent's 11 look like fools is something I will never be able to replicate with individual sports (golf, tennis, baseball [included, since only one person has the right to advance the ball]).

Highscores are qualifiers for how bad one's ass was kicked.
