I think it's fair to include diversity of ethnic representation in a game about the Oregon trail, as it makes it harder to hide that all forms of immigration is in fact demographic displacement and thus bureaucratic warfare upon the heritage American population.

We had 32-36 mulattos in the entirety of Oregon in 1860 if memory serves, and it remained that way until the constitutional ban on negroes and mulattos was removed.

Oregon was established as a slave free, and nearly black free state.

In terms of memory of my bloodline and history over 400 as I can still reliably trace my ancestry to the Mayflower, and a good bit before that.

1971 version, converted in 1975 and implemented for the Apple ][ in … WTF? Wiki Davis is wrong again. Wikifagia says it was released commercially in 1985. Hah. I remember playing it on my Apple ][+ in 1982.

I remember the 1985 remake of the game. It had graphics. Bleah.

Early versions were text games and weren’t widely available. I played it on the Apple II in the 80s when you could get it on a floppy.

Here's a fun fact for you: Leisure Suit Larry (in the Land of the Lounge Lizards) was originally a text game on the Apple ][.
