Ruby is such a meme language. It's like Rust: only fags use it.

I don't see PHP on the list, even though it has objects and inheritance and closures and everything like that. It's ironic that the site itself is run on php (Wordpress).

That list is like comparing apples to a car engine. A language has to be immensely popular to even make it on that list.

It doesn't change the fact that nobody is using Ruby/Rails for anything new.
Any job you get is going to be to maintain code written back in 2010ish.
It's never going to rise up higher on the TIOBE Index.

Ruby has no future.

It gotta be more popular that visual basic. Who uses VB these days? Surprised it's on the list, more surprised by how high it is on it.

VB is a dead language too.

Being a dead language isn't about popularity.
It's about whether it's going to be used in the future for anything.

Ruby is on the dead list.
