I got the opposite. At around ten they started me in Ritalin. By fifteen it was Ritalin, prozac, and lithium. Fast forward a few years and it's more than I remember the names of. Stopped all that shit when I was eighteen or nineteen, but the damage was done and it took a long time to recover. Sometimes I wonder what life would be like if all that never happened.

It's hard to know the context of your parents. Was it just neglect, was it cost, was it their relationship? Who usually bought it for you and why might they stop, if it was your mom what took away her motivation, depression?

It's hard to know sometimes it's simply laziness.

Teens also tend to be unhappy, grumpy, and self-conscious; maybe though the main issue was just this one physical ailment.

Try to use anything else before medicine unless it's acute. Maybe get saline nose spray and use it a few times a day, and wash pollen from your face a few times as well.

Try to look into natural things are bodies are used to, new chemical combinations often have unknown effects.

ZyrTec-D (the stuff you need to present ID for) is fantastic. BUT it only works decently for about 3 days straight. After that you need to take a day or two off of it before you start again, otherwise your body gets used to it.

I keep many many boxes of that shit stockpiled. That and real pseudoephedrine. (((They))) are trying to get this stuff off the market.

And for long term dry drug storage, I keep everything in a gun safe with a climate control system. Should be good for lifetimes.

Claritin-D (the 'D' is the important part) works a bit differently than ZyrTec, and it may work better for some people. I have found that overall ZyrTec is a bit stronger, but ymmv. I prefer to use ZyrTec, my wife prefers Claritin. I'd have both on hand all the time just in case.

It's pretty large as gun safes go, actually. 72" tall x 40" wide x 24" deep. I have a Golden Rod in the bottom and a humidity detector / dehumidifier in it. Keeps things very stable and dry.
