How do I hurt YouTube monetarily? Mean I can watch their content and make sure they get no revenue?

I hate that place so much, but there is so much I want to watch. Waiting to click through ads makes it worse. Clicking through ads means someone besides YouTube is making money. I want to sidestep all that and not give a dime to YouTube and their unreasonable censorship. I want my favorite YouTube channels to get the revenue they deserve. But YouTube like an insurance company does everything they can to cheat them out of their well earned revenue.

If you're watching on your mobile phone - and more than likely you will be - Newpipe is the best app for it. No ads, trackers, etc. totally invisible to YT. Highly recommend it.

On my TV I'm just in the habit of clicking stop seeing this ad mark inappropriate.

Why are you watching ads?

uMatrix removes them all, except those in the video itself. "Hey guys, check out my sponsor..." Just skip past those.

If you want to support, donate off of youtube. They take 30%, other places take as little as 3%.

I recommend SponsorBlock to counter embedded ads, intros, extros, etc., on most videos (reasonably popular ones).

mpv + yt-dlp is your best way to watch/download anything from youtube or almost any other video site for that matter. Both programs are available on any platform.

simple ublock or brave or a combination of the two. No commercials ads and they cant track you. spread the word because it baffles me that so many still don't know this. Fuck Youtube and their revenue. If you are watching on mobile phone install brave and delete the youtube app and watch youtube through your brave browser and you will get no ads

Yeah it's true, Youtube channels that I like don't get ad revenue from me watching their videos. But hopefully they can live without the $0.0000000001 that I would have made them.

your fav youtube channels are getting enough already and are all conformists supporting the beast, fuck them. adblock on your computer, if on tv just download the videos beforehand and put them on a usb stick or whatever technology you use to transfer it to tv.

Where does it say that any corporate entity is expected to recognize your rights?

This here is where the problem arises with people and their understanding of social media.

The government is the ONLY entity required and expected to recognize your rights. That is it.

This place, that place, reddit, and all these others are in it to make money, and they made the ToS to explain all of this to you when you made an account as well as each time the amended it.

You can read it, see that YouTube is just there to make money, now you want better? Make it, and that my fren is called free market.

If your service is better than them, or your values and company commitment are better then people will flock to your site.
