I vividly remember it was roughly 2014 when Voat came out. Conversations and arguments on reddit started to decline.

Some years later, it became evident that it was mostly bots. Similar to youtube comments.

You’ll notice there is very little content after the first few pages, which is mainly anti trump stuff and repeat posts. The ‘Rising’ link is even worse, mostly it’s sluts posting in ‘amigorgeous’ yet when you see their profile they have an OnlyFans.

Prior to the banning of /r/CoonTown, I remember /r/funny being full of some of the stupidest, unfunny shit that was like an odd mix of boomer-tier humor that only socially awkward Facebook lovers would enjoy. In addition, you had several vote-manipulating power users that you'd see on the front page every day.

I pretty much stopped using reddit once CoonTown was banned and I was guided to Voat.

Anyhow, glad to see reddit dying a slow death.
