It's normal if on occasion. I get it in my shoulders more. If you start getting joint pain, and it doesn't go away after a couple push-ups, id take a little rest and try again in a bit.
If you're training at 10x gravity. Which I mostly do. You need to be extra careful.
Dunno how you manage to hurt your elbows. Setup your camera to record on your side as you do pushups and look up a few of the million youtube videos about form.
This is not related to your elbows, but reminder to do something to balance the pushups out. Most people are already hunched forward, pushups can make that worse if you ignore your back.
after you injure youself (which 100% will happen) you keep powering through it like the giga chad you are. eat good and your body will take care of the rest.
Only if you're doing them wrong. And by wrong, I mean wrong for your body.
I use these pushup handle things. I've found it's better for my wrists if I can grip and squeeze these handles instead of doing flat palms or fists on the floor. I think it's an angle thing, but also when I'm gripping something, my wrists are much better supported by all the muscle tension in my hands and forearms. Other people don't seem to need these things, and many years ago, I didn't either, but that was a long time ago. My body is a little different now that I'm not no longer an indestructible teenager.
