I don't think niggers were the only ones getting the bad end of the law during those times. You're basically talking about police power that goes unchecked. Don't think just because you're lilly white a cop won't fuck with you if they can get away with it.

Cops still keep order. I don't want to make fun of you, but it's really silly to think that just because you can hold a gun, no one else can. The dude didn't point the gun at the policeman as much as the policeman literally walked into the path of the gun.

I'm all for shooting bad guys but this was a case of a policeman walking up and putting himself in front of a gun and then climbing the gun was pointing at him and shooting somebody. The policeman did not announce himself before stepping in front of the gun did not say he was coming up on the front porch did not say he was on the front lawn. I doubt any of us would have even understood what was going on when the guy stood in front of us with a gun and probably wouldn't even have been thinking about what our hands were holding or whether or not it looked like the gun was coming up. The policeman literally put himself in front of the man's gun and then use that as an excuse to shoot him.
