That program really pissed me off. Those older vehicles were built for longetivity, were infinitely more repairable, weren't riddled with computers/spyware, and the used market was much more affordable.

Cash for clunkers was an act of pure malice.

My shit-lib uncle in Portland, Or., no less, was all proud of himself when he turned in a Chevy van and came out with a hybrid Toyota SUV of some kind. While I don’t care for Chevy vans much, I also don’t care for Toyota stuff. I really don’t care for him at all. I’d beat him up if he wasn’t 75 years old. He’s a fucking mouthy punk too.
