Is this "step 1" to a Linux phone or more for people who use phones like a normie that wants to try mobile Linux?

more like a means to have a HW accelerated virtual Linux OS run as a mobile app, multi-display, multi input. So picture clicking icon on your mobile device, and then bringing up an Ubuntu desktop, complete with libre office, all of the app's running on your desktop. With hardware acceleration, you can use I/O devices (keyboard, monitor) and the user experience would be the same as if on a PC. Basically, taking your laptop with you wherever you bring your phone

This actually looks great. It didn't seem like it's quite available yet from what I can read. Normally I'm kind of sick of all the run Linux on your everything postings but this one actually looks really good and could turn an Android phone into a full Linux computer and that would be pretty awesome.

Looks like a means to have a virtual Linux OS run as a mobile app. The screen shots show LineageOS, but the writeup says "will be officially available in LibreMobileOS" I use graphene OS (presumably, will eventually be available on graphene via fdroid). Presumably the containerized OS will have access to phone carriwer SIM hardware for making calls / texts. cool thx for sharing
