Despite a zero carb carnivore diet, my blood pressure was still high. Resting heart rate was high and pounded at night. Began developing a heart palpitation after eating which can best be described as a hiccup of the chest. Could find no reasonable advice online. Even Dr Berg had fuckall for useful advice. Plebbit was insistent in Potassium (idiots)
After reading The Magnesium Miracle, I began supplementing with Magnesium Citrate (400 - 800mg per day). The palpitation went away immediately and never returned, The next day, my mind was the calmest it had ever been in my life. I used to get nervous or worked up prior to a lecture but now I can give my presentations without any jitters or anxiety.
My thoughts used to be squirrely and I’d often feel the need to start new projects. This sense of being wound up is gone. Concentration is easy now and I’ve since gone back to school to work toward a proper degree (anything but fucking computers this time) My fast heart rate went away within a week and my blood pressure was normal after a few weeks.
A few months later, I quit caffeine. Didn't feel like I needed it anymore. The withdrawal was very mild when on previous attempts, it was always awful. I feel like no one knows this about caffeine withdrawal and should like to write a publication some day.
I’m sharing this with you because I believe it can help change your lives for the better. Some of you will chime in saying it makes you tired but that anecdotal information is also useful for us all to take into consideration. One of you took the obscure magnesium theonine and fell into a deep depression. Mg citrate is safe. Mg oxide is hardly absorbed and should not be used.
Epsom salts baths dude (magnesium sulfate?), especially if you have an injury. It's like mainlining magnesium, it fixes all sorts of problems and makes ya sleep like a baby.
Not like it's difficult to give it a shot and see if it helps ya out. And even if you think it's bunk, women love that shit. Having a bag on hand is something they would love.
As a teenager with absolutely no pimple problems, I wake one day with a huge cystic zit on my cheek. My mom makes me take 2 tblspns of castor oil then drink a big glass of water with epsom salt crystals. Hand on heart, that zit was gone the next morning.

Yeah organic castor bean oil (cold pressed) is amazing for many things - it's one of those old go to's. From skin aliments, gut/ bowel issues, putting a large dab of cotton wool and applying across and around the eye lids at night, or directly on skin tags etc, fckers drop off after a couple weeks - not the eyes the tags but it reduces puffiness and makes the eyeballs clearer and less red, as well as lengthening eyelashes, lol.
Epsom salts to ingest is legit beneficial too - as long as it's the food grade.
MG intake is dependent on MG deficiency, if your body needs MG it will absorb through the skin, hence MG oil skin rubs... Try the epsom salt bath instead, feels fkn awesome.
[ - ] dass 1 point 12 monthsJun 15, 2024 18:10:36 ago (+1/-0)
Yea, i do a nice hot long epsom salt soak bath probably twice a week, and not that fragranced shit that costs 3x the price. Plus i supplement with an organic magnesium ultra Absorbtion (4 types of elemental magnesium - not that oxide shite) or a natural marine magnesium - depending on which one has the better price point when i purchase.
[ - ] dass 0 points 12 monthsJun 15, 2024 18:57:58 ago (+0/-0)
Haha, yes, i use a tea tree oil shampoo/ conditioner for my two boys and a topical tea tree oil antiseptic spray for their scraps / abrasions etc, and a tea tree underarm anti-perspirant. Great stuff - i actually like/ enjoy the strong smell now.
It's awesome aye, some people hate the smell but I love it. Unbelievable what it does for minor wounds, Manuka honey (bees make it from the same plant) is awesome for major wounds/punctures.
[ - ] dass 0 points 12 monthsJun 15, 2024 19:25:16 ago (+0/-0)
Yea, i've heard lots of good beneficial stuff about high quality honey. I was amazed to find out - legit honey never actually deteriorates, goes moldy or rotten etc if keep in an airtight container will only crystalize/ dry out when over-exsposed to oxygen or sunlight. You could literally embalm something for 1000 years in only honey and as long as it were kept sealed - zero decay, at worst the honey simply hardens over time.
Yeah that's a trick there, most commercial honeys, especially in the USA, aren't even 100% honey. They are often cut with a high percentage of fake honey, and what actual honey there is is just refined sugar fed to the bees by (((big business))) beekeepers. Kind of a dark rabbit hole, but it's really worth finding legitimate honey.
I did this once, without realizing what the effect would be. Boy, that was a surprise. I looked like a fucking cherry tomato. When they say flush, they mean flush. That shit opens you right up. It wasn't just my face, I'm also talking arms and legs.
[ - ] CHIRO 1 point 12 monthsJun 15, 2024 19:36:10 ago (+1/-0)
Haha. So, yeah. I'm not saying this stuff is going to treat full-blown erectile dysfunction or anything, but you might say your "erection health" benefits. That said, the flush itself has more to do with a sympathetic response, so it is going to "flush" your periphery more so than your core.
Surprisingly, walmart has magnesium citrate available in gummy form. But if you can make a trip to a proper health food store, you’ll always have better options.
I'm hearing the gummies are no good. They basically use a quick spray over the gummies on a conveyor belt and your really not getting the nutrients they claim to provide. Source is Dr. Kelly Victory who has been a staunch advocate for no clot shots
I’ve been on carnivore for several years. I experienced fluttering and increased heart rate, magnesium and potassium helped alleviate that, I take them regularly now.
There are three types of Magnesium: oxide, citrate, and glycinate. Oxide doesn’t absorb so well, citrate is very effective at loosening the bowels, glycinate absorbs the best.
The best way to prevent, slow down or reverse plaquing in the arteries: • Vitamin K2 • High vitamin C foods • Vitamin E • Keep your Omega-6 fatty acids very low and keep your Omega-3 fatty acids very very high
The best foods for blocked arteries: • Wild-caught salmon • Sauerkraut (a fermented cabbage product): it's loaded with vitamin K2, it's also loaded with Vitamin C (7 times the RDA) • A big arugula salad with extra-virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar (or red balsamic vinegar), sunflower seeds, Parmigiano cheese (get the authentic type from Italy), and garlic
I've been doing 200mg of mag a day. Got a blood test back that showed maxed out on mag,so i cut back to every other day. Not sure about going the opposite to 400-800 mg a day. Hmm
[ - ] dass 1 point 12 monthsJun 15, 2024 18:22:19 ago (+1/-0)
Typically blood test levels for nutirents and vitamins etc are set by WHO or something and are basically at at minimum requirements. Heck all the recommended vitamin/ nutrient supplement intake levels are a joke.
Remember tlol has the "best" medical advice on the internoobs. You should all take lots of mg to develop hypermagnesemia and Super saiyan powers. Crippling fatigue from smashing down mg vitamin tablets is only a hurdle on your way to greatness, dorks.
I'm the one who you said would chime in about magnesium L-threonate. Yeah, it fucked me. Yes it's an anecdote, but I know four other people who had problems with Life Extension Magnesium, (people I had recommended it to when I first started taking it), so at least avoid that brand.
Magnesium is one of the electrolytes included in Gatorade. I don't drink that stuff, too much sugar; instead I take the equivalent in pill form. Several companies make it. Calcium, magnesium, and zinc.
Dump the citrate, replace it with a bottle of Malate and a bottle of Magtein (l-threonate). Take 500mg Magtein in the arvo, 1000mg in the evening and top off with 500mg of the Malate an hour before bed.
Higher bioavailability, remains in the body for longer and doesn't have the same laxative effect citrate does. Malate for muscles, l-threonate for the brain.
