The federal government is a corporate entity. We are it's asset. The democratic institutions exist to make us think we're in control. But We arnt in charge of anything. We wholly own nothing not our homes, our cash, our labor, we don't even have a right to keep anything that can be used a a liquid asset.
In a REAL democracy, if they want to raise taxes - Everyone votes. And if the majority voted yes, they raise taxes. If the majority vote no, they don't.
The UK is not a real democracy. It's a Parliamentary Democracy. People vote for their member of Parliament. Then if they want to raise taxes, you do not vote. Only the members of Parliament vote.
The US is not a real democracy. It's a Democratic Republic. Americans vote for the President, and their members of Congress and the Senate. Americans do not vote on raising taxes or anything else. Either Congress or the Senate vote. Or the President decides. Depending on the situation.
