Sky rocketing here, they also started to cull chickens in several of the major suppliers in Melbourne and Adelaide where they process poultry. For reference, chicken is crazily cheap here, an entire roast chicken is only $11, whereas beef and lamb are for export market so even though they are sold at a premium domestically.
This is without doubt calculated so that animal protein is less affordable and people can eat it less frequently.
