I have a job posting, where's the best place to find people to work with?

I thought of all the places, why not this one, amirite? The job is pretty easy, it's a sales/comission based job for commodities and consistent sales to vendors. Base price is set, whatever is charged above is yours to keep. Can be local to NY, but we also have offices were looking to setup in other states. Really the job can be done from anywhere, as long as you're ok setting up some mild paperwork.

When someone posts a job with information about the job, but there isn't any real information about the job, that's when you know you are selling a for a pyramid scheme.

As a teenager I got suckered into a job posting. To arrive at a marketing meeting about knives. Where you have to buy the knives and then sell them. And I laughed my way out of that room while the guy was still talking.

A year later I got suckered into the same thing again. Showed up to the interview and it was eerily familiar. Asked if this was for selling cutco knives. Guy said yes. Told him to go fuck himself for wasting my time and walked out.

Then I was at a gun show last year. And there was a grown man selling cutco knives.

Some Questions I might ask, if it helps

How long has company been in business?

How many sales people work there now?

avg sales employee turn over.

Longest time a sales person has stayed in sales.

what does the best employee take home? How long have they been there

What is avg take home pay?

why did last failed hire not make it, generally?

Job to manage current clients or to create new clients? If latter, are leads provided?

Is there a base pay until ropes are learned or is it sink or swim from day 1?

How often are meetings. What time zone are clients in/What time do I wake up.

Can new hires work part time to get feet wet, while keeping current job - or must go all in.

There's a lot of independent tradesmen who do their own selling and are far shittier and dishonest than your average salesman. (Plenty of honest ones too)

Salesmen in general are just a little annoying and can come off as plastic.
