Best years of PC gaming predate Windows. Amiga was peak PC gaming.

Amiga < DOS. A lot of games ran better in DOS even during the 95/98 years. You’re going to try to tell me that Tie Fighter and DooM weren’t peak PC gaming? All of those Apogee games were great. Raptor Call of the Shadows was such a good scrolling shooter. I played the fuck out of shareware and sent money to get the full versions in the mail. Commodore 64 is worth a mention. Really good library of games for the time.

Most of the cross platform games were way better on Amiga. Doom looked great on both, though.
