modern gaming is so cucked. like i said you better start saving old games and emulators because this whole circus is meant to last for quite awhile.

there's no escape to this unless you turn everything off. tv,pc,gaming console, sports , music (yes its pozzed too)

I just downloaded a bunch of Ps2 games. Going to play at least Manhunt, GOW1 and GOW2. It's nice being able to crank up the resolution on these older titles.

any modern PC will allow you to all of these games up to 4k.

i have tons of ps2,psp,3ds, ds, gamecube, ps3 games at my disposal. i could include xbox and xbox 360 in there but i was never an xbox fan even though i owned a 360 that crapped on me 2 years after purchase. the red ring of death was real.


i also had a ps2 that stopped reading dvds and games. also my OG ps3 crapped on me 2.5 years after purchase. it was a 60 gb model that cost me 600 bucks.

yes i was stupid to buy it at that price. never again!

You're not alone. I also spent a stupid amount of money on the ps3 when it came out. I wised up and waited, got a ps4 at a pawn shop for $200 a couple years after it released. I still use it sometimes. No desire to get a modern console. There's enough games out already to play for a life time.

yeah i got suckered by the powah of the cell which my 9th gen computer can emulate just fine. fucking bandits.

yeah i also skipped consoles after the ps4. i saw the handwriting on the wall with their ps plus scam. none of these old architecture looks good on my 55 inch oled tv. when you start to game at 120 hz is tough to go back to 60hz


so yeah i do all my gaming on my PC while the consoles that i own gather dust. i'm planning to leave these to my nephews at least i hope they can sell it for a nice price after i'm gone

I was lucky enough to learn that lesson when I was a child. My aunt and uncle just HAD to have the First RCA vcr when they came out in the late 70's. They also bought one of those Betamax players. They had "play", "pause", and "rewind". And that was it. Those things were like $800 Each!
My parents waited a few years and bought a "cheap" vcr player for about $100. It had all kinds of features.
That helped me figure out the "BE THE FIRST TO OWN" scam.

Emulators suck nads though. Imprecise hardware recreation and too much input lag. If you don't have access to original hardware and library/flash carts, then FPGA solutions are the next best bet.
