Twitter links here are redirected to twitter homepage making it impossible for me to see the linked page; I've finally figured it out and found a workaround.

People are linking to x.com/user/post, which redirects me to twitter.com/home

The workaround for me is to copy/paste the url in a new tab and replace "x.com" with "twitter.com". See below for an example. The first one doesn't work for me, the second one does.

Both go to x and usually let me see the post itself. Sometimes it randomly demands I log in and doesn't work at all. No comments ever.

I use Brave, am banned on X, both links work. I never get to see comments.

In brave open a private window and you can rejoin Twitter under new name.
You can also see anything.

It can't track you as a banned person.
